Search on eBay for M5 chimney nuts/spire clips, there's 1000s of the things on there, assuming you're looking for the ones in David's pic. No need to pay BMW prices, just make sure you get decent quality ones.

Re: Rain Gear
My current gear of choice is Halvarssons Gore-Tex laminate - so much better than the older, drop-liner jackets. It's lighter and more flexible - water isn't held in the outer material like it is on drop-liner ones. Oxford do laminate stuff too now, so prices are coming down. Gore-Tex isn't the be-al...

Re: Oil filters and oil weight
Re the 15w50 spec, I've just bought Smith and Allan's 'own brew' fully synthetic, at £24.00 delivered for 5 ltrs - it meets the API spec as well as the JASO MA2 one (although I believe that's a wet-clutch spec, so not really relevant to my 1200RT). Couple that with my '3 Mahle filters for ...

RT heated seats, up to '13.
Standard height rider's, plus pillion. Both heated, both unused from new - the bike had the 'comfort' seat fitted at the dealer when it was new.
No photos....unless somebody really wants them!.....they're just new seats!
£200 plus delivery.

1200RT/ST panniers, grey.
These fortunately weren't on my '06 RT when it was written off last month. In good condition,no damage, just a few marks from usage, but nothing nasty. Complete with metal key and non-BMW inner bags. Photos on request. £250 collected from north Derbyshire, I dont mind a drive out to meet up if you'r...

Zumo 660, boxed with all bits.
This came with the RT I've just bought, but I prefer my Tomtom. It's not the LM one, and current maps are 2015, but I've got a microSD card on its way with 2019 maps of the whole of western and eastern Europe, which will obviously be included. The screen is perfect, a few marks on the case corners. ...

Re: What is this?
Hi, and welcome to the Forum. It's to give you access to internal parts - on the topbox, for example, it allows you to remove the lock barrel for re-coding by use of a special tool without fully dismantling the box. I suspect it's there for the same reason on the panniers. Pop it out, shine a light ...

Re: Insurance quote weirdness.
The owner did about 5k miles in the first 2 years, then eased off a bit! An hgv turned right across my path, I hit his front nearside wheel square on, then spent 15 mins or so on the road unable to move my arms or legs.....very, very scary that was. Things switched back on fortunately, it's left me ...

Tomtom Rider 40
This is the entry-level 'Rider', but still with the 'winding/hilly roads' planning feature, and lifetime maps. Full spec/info here - https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/sat-nav...ucts/rider-40/ It's in excellent condition, no marks to case or screen. Unfortunately, the powered mount is still on my recently...
