Re: Site moving or closing .....

I wish to add my sentiments already expressed here.

Thank you very much for what you have achieved, and I am sorry to see you go.  I have enjoyed lurking, and occassionally posted.

I also wish I had the time and know-how to run a site like this.

Best regards

Re: Roads spoiling the riding?

Just come back from a short 2 days riding in the Black Forest near Triberg. I had forgotten how perfect the roads are there. Even single track roads through the forests are billiard table smooth. Did not see one pothole. Bloody brilliant. Makes our roads third world ! German roads are awesome.&...

Hi everyone, Hope this does not tread on any toes, this is just for information purposes not to generate traffic. Just to let anyone who used www.zumoforums.com , and is wondering what happened. Re: A2DP Bluetooth Connection to Sena Helmet - Audio Quality

Caveat: I have a Nav IV so experiences might differ. Normally the Bluetooth connection is quite good, and listening to music is pleasurable.  However every so often it does not connect properly, and the audio is very tinny.  It is using a different connection. Is it possible that ...

Re: Roads spoiling the riding?

All I can say, are potholes are braille so the blind can drive! :)) Here in Belgium, we know all about this.  You can hear when you leave the Netherlands (almost silent road noise) and enter Belgium (Car / bike begins to shake from the deformed roads) / and you are deafened due to the road...

Re: Summer waterproofs

I did try the badlands (last years ) and it is a great jacket but with the vents on the upper area looking small it put me off. I have a winter jacket and a summer mesh, so i suspect the best solution is an over jacket waterproof. I was just trying to keep the gear light Hi Hodge, Yes the vents are...

Re: Garmin Base Camp Issue

Have you done any updates recently?

Usually a straight line route is caused by the activity profile being set to Direct.

Performing a recalc, while the Profile is set to Direct or Off Road will not help.

Re: Summer waterproofs

I have a Klim Badlands jacket, that has huge vents, and is water proof (Gortex Pro - without the need for a liner)  With the vents open, it will let in rain.  However the vents open almost directly on to skin, so the cooling is immediate.  My model (and they have updated i...

Re: Heated seat working?

Caveat: I have a 2010 RT.  Just two settings. I have found that with my over-trousers on (BMW Streetguard) it takes about 20-30 minutes to really feel the warmth coming in. So I would imagine that 10  minutes is not really long enough.  Also with the day being warm, it wil...

Re: Where do you store bike's staff?

... For me the only way around it is to always have the topbox on the bike, and as a result it has started to gather 'useful' clutter. Currently it contains: I also carry the top box permanently - I will never carry a passenger without it, and I also find she looks strange without a topbox! When I ...
