I agree with DaygloDavid, give it a bit more stick, its labouring a bit for a new tight engine, you wont break owt , in fact it will do it good.

Re: Gap under the seat?
Orso62 What year is the bike??
Are you sure its a regular seat and not a low one?? If you put a low seat in the high setting it gives you a gap or at least it does on the pre watercooled machines

Re: Throttle modes?
This isn't been negative (well it probably is) but don't you think in all reality that all these different driving modes are taking skills away from the rider ?? Surely your right hand controls speed and how you apply it. Common sense usually says if its raining or the roads are crappy then the thro...

Re: handling
Yorkieboy, Definitely get a low seat, balls off feet no good for this type of bike/weight. That really knocks yer confidence cos all you are thinking about is the next stop, cambers and the like. Secondly at slow speeds keep revs up slightly (so as not to stall) and tr...

Re: Considering a 2009 or 2012 RT-P

Re: Warranty problems
Its a good question re warranty and aftermarket gadgets.
I often wonder about insurance claims and aftermarket gizmos fitted, I bet in the real world that can cause a problem too, especially if not fitted by the manufacturer,

Re: Riding with luggage & pillion
If twisting the rubber is yer only problem I reckon she has cracked it.
We have never tried it but Ive seen it where the pillion actually uses the riders left footrest because its lower. It seems to work as well.
My missus has to throw her leg over the topbox as well I think it a age thing

Re: Question for the Police riders of the forum
In South Yorks we always rode 2 abreast if there was a lot of us going from A to B, it makes the convoy shorter But in the 80s there were 26 M/Cs Ive heard now that there are only about 5 dedicated bikers plus a few more that they can call on and I understand they only have 10 bikes altoge...

Re: Found a couple of issues
Its true we might flick through but never really read it. Few months ago I sold a low seat to a bloke in London, he got in touch and sent me some photos saying " It doesn't fit theres a gap. " I don't think its even for this bike " Silly billy hadn't dropped the adjustment bar at the ...

Re: handling
I agree really its a matter of what you feel comfortable with 2 feeet down it don't matter. I have a nasty habit of pulling up short on bad/blind junctions, then slowly inching forward with both feet down till I can see ( when I say short I mean 2 foot short) To me that is a confidence thing,&n...
