Anyone reading these post and considering purchasing one may want to consider buying a pet blow dryer.
The cheapest I've seen on eBay is around £40 and they work a treat.

Re: New member Navigator V
If you go into the setting and change the picture it will show a touring bike I.e. RT.
If not you may need to update your sat nav software via garmin express.
Also own a white euro 4 model.

Re: Top Box vs Panniers
My Neotec fits ok in the panniers with the bluetooth on (Scala Packtalk) and I usually chuck in the gloves, and my Sat Nav. Its just a case of positioning it correctly. Can fit helmets in the top box by putting them on their side, Bluetooth uppermost. Use the Sho-1 Bluetooth unit which fits okay in...

Re: New member Navigator V
Got to agree with Rtman here. An additive , or whatever it's called, that impregnates the metal , really :) ) :) ) If these products were that good then Bp, Shell etc would be adding them to fuel, oils etc and bumping up the retail prices surely? Until I see irrefutable , independent research to pro...

Re: New member Navigator V
Waffle. If it wasn't everyone would use it and it would be available in Tesco. £63 a ltr. Wow. And you add it to fuel or oil, it doesn't mix with either but bonds to and impregnates the metal. That's not magic it's a miracle. That's one opinion and I'm sure your not the first to have that...

Re: New member Navigator V
Grabs a bag of popcorn and waits to watch the thread derail into an active debate over the merits (or otherwise) of additives. 8) Always good to have a debate on the +\- of any product on the market. But at the end of the day it all comes down to individual choices, some will try it, some...

Re: New member Navigator V
ZX1, http://www.team-zx1.com/extralube-zx1-micro-oil-metal-treatment.html , say "used a fuel treatment and will enhance upper cylinder lubrication". If the gearbox is the problem, then presumably, ZX1 would be added directly to the engine oil on an LC. David correct just add the volume ne...

Re: New member Navigator V
Read somewhere that BMW say no additives should be used but can't remember if it was to fuel or oil. All LCs clunk into first to some extent. If they don't something's broken. I will now be told "mine doesn't since I added a spoon of rice pudding " Just to clarify ZX1 ...

Re: New member Navigator V
Seasons greetings folks from Dublin, Ireland. Yes another greenhorn here. Ive had a series of Rt's over the years and recently purchased a callisto grey 2015 R1200RT LC. I really love the bike and appreciate the additional power. The only irritant that I have noticed so far is the clunk when engagi...

Tend to use scottoiler fs365 which has a corrosion inhibitor and forms an effective barrier against corrosion and oxidisation. But have also use triple qx which help clean and protect.
