Re: Lockdown
There is a very well respected member of an RT forum on FB. He is ex-military and runs a motorcycle dispatch business. His knowledge of RT’s is phenomenal. I asked him about the Hilltop remap and he he stated that he owned on standard camhead and one with a Hilltop remap (done by...

Re: Fuel station air pumps
I never use garage pumps. I check the tyres on all our bike at least every two weeks using a hand pump at home. If I am touring I carry a small hand pump and pressure gauge with me.

As no one has commented on the RT, in midnight blue, you've got the best colour. https://d3oqeh0ujy6117.cloudfront.net/avs/avatar_2436_1483293025.png I agree, midnight blue with the silver lowers was the best colour on the hexheads. It is not only the best colour, it is the fastest too! :))

Re: Lockdown
That back light/number plate bracket is real ugly! On the MT07? That's my other half's bike. She only passed her test a couple of years ago and loves that bike. The moment Kate sat on it in showroom I knew it was going to cost me money. It is a hoot to ride. The light weight makes the handling so r...

Re: Lockdown
Nice trio 👍 how do you find the torque on the 1250 Bandit to the 1200 RT? Interestingly, the weight, peak power and torque figures for the RT and the Bandit are very similar. But as you can guess, they are very different bikes to ride. Each has their own character. All...

Its not a great time to sell. You might want to wait until the chaos is over and the market picks up.

Re: BMW Premium Selection - Used Bike
They are asking top price too. Whilst that MOT history might cause me to think a little before buying the bike (and negotiate harder), remember that the bike is being supplied by a BMW dealer and I would therefore expect all issues to be sorted before it hits the showroom floor. ...

Re: Fuel grade
I never run a comparison the my 2012 1200RT. The manual recommends 98 octane and that what it gets - usually a banded fuel as I like my bike too much to put supermarket fuels in it. However, over the last 20,000 mile or so my 320i has average 39mpg on 98 octane fuel and somewhere...

tojjer - Your mates are buying into the stereotype. Perhaps they also believe that Harleys are only ridden either by members of hard-core biker gangs or Bankers wanting to play bad-boy at the weekends. It's all a load of tosh. Whilst I may get slightly fewer acknowledgements from non-BMW riders when...

Ventureshied made by 3M is the stuff you want. They make bespoke kits for the RT and I had it applied to mine from new. It covers the leading edges and anywhere that may rub, like footrest mounts etc. At 7 years old the paintwork on my machine is unmarked. &am...

Re: RT1250 LE – Rear Brake Pedal Height Adjustment
Well, most people never have a problem with the brake lever height. There is nothing like a useful contribution to a thread. 'Most people' may not but adjustments are not usually about most people. They are about those who may have fitted a foot peg lowering kit and found the co...

Re: R1250RT brake fault
You would have thought after the muck up when they introduced the 1200 LC that they would make sure everything was perfect this time round. Errrr...... No. BMW have form for releasing less than fully-developed and tested products and letting the punter be the test mule to find any remaini...

Re: Head-on collision, I drove away and they had to tow the CAR!
Glad you cam out of it unscathed. As Jim suggested, you need to get the bike checked our properly. Lots of damage can be hidden under all that bodywork.
