Clearwater lamps

I've got a set of their Darla lamps to fit. They are quite small so hopefully won't look too out of place. Unlike the later bikes there is no plug-in soluction for my 2006 RT. In this case  I need to break into the loom. The instruction are comprehensive so hopefully it wont be too difficul...

Re: Where to go.....

With only 7 days to play with I'very decided on a WWII invasion tour. Taking the overnight ferry to Caen, which docks around 06:45. l'll grab a croissant and coffee at a local cafe before heading towards pegasus bridge as a start point. From there I'm going to travel down the coast to the landing be...

Re: Where to go.....

Organised tours always put me off as I like to do my own thing. But I fully get the social Benifits! Shame this is a couple of weeks ahead of my time off.

Where to go.....

Having completed my first real tour last year, a thirteen day jaunt around the Italian lakes via Switzerland & France. I'm now looking at options for 2017. However I've only got a max of 7 days to play with and was thinking of using four days as travel time and then three days riding around usin...

Re: Much tears...

Bad news indeed but importantly your OK and it wont take too much to sort out. Always a bugger when it happens, last one I dropped was in a pub car park with the misses on the back. Lost my footing on some gravel and the Multistrada went down like a sack of potatoes, in full view of everybody sittin...

Re: clutch adjustment

hi, my bike is an 05 r1200rt with 16000 miles on the clock but I think the clutch is slipping a bit, is there any adjustment I can make? I have a low milage (16k) 2006 RT. When I went on tour this year, with the bike fully loaded and the misses on the bike I experianced some clutch slip on day one....

Re: FJR1300 I take it all back

Mate of mine is currently looking at one of these, the auto version. After the test ride he was really positive about it. Comfortable, stable and fast.

Spotted this damaged GS in a local workshop. Poor chap had left his U-lock in place when he drove off  :-X

Re: OK - I admit it, I'm tempted...

Had been thinking about it but have been put of by reliability issues. I know MTS has always has its problems, though mine did a pretty trouble free 25,000 miles. However, a good friend has just had a very lucky escape on a new one. His engine seized and snapped the chain at "progressive"...

Re: OK - I admit it, I'm tempted...

Not tempted back onto the latest Multistrada? This year's bike is meant to be a good step-up from the previous model. Ok, chain drive and smaller screen. But lots more character than any RT or GS.

I also asked them to check the clutch & gearbox. I actually scared a pedestrian this morning when I CLUNKED it into 1st!

Clunking into 1st seems to be 'feature' of the earlier bikes, not sure about the later WC RT.
