Re: Bargain Price - BMW Nav VI

If buying a pre-owned (used) sat. nav. from a.n.other, can the new owner continue to have the lifetime maps updated. If so, how is this achieved, thank you. The Garmin updater checked S/N of my unit and download updates based on that. I'm not sure if I had to create account. I'm sorry. Deleted all ...

Re: Top case woes

I'm using bags for my panniers, so newer took them off. And leave helmets inside. And I agree it is a bit pity to have huge topbox and can't fit helmets in it really

Re: SOS icon and amber triangle on

Has anybody had to use the SOS system in an emergency or otherwise.? Just wondering how effective it is. Yes. I'm afraid I had that "pleasure". The SOS is a feature you really wish to never use. Anyway. I've been hit in the rear, bike went down, as well myself. SOS center connected to my ...

Re: Time for a new suit

I used over the years some Richa, Oxford and Rukka. Don't even look at Oxford site. It is really not quality I looked for. For similar money you can have Richa which is far superior. And for now I think the laminated gear suit me best for my riding style. I had before so called 3 layer adventure gea...

From my experience? I'd say yes. I explained that in one of my posts above.
However that apply to Heed, and I can say probably to Wunderlich as they are similar in construction.

Can't say anything about Ilium or any others available.

Re: Engine bars

We have a special brackets for additional lights which can be installed on our crash bars OK. I'm just telling you how it's done on my bike. I have BMW spotlights on the o...

Re: Engine bars

So what your saying is,they did their job. Hope you faired better than the bars👍 I think they did the job. Not fully as I expected, but acceptable. What I'm saying they should be paired with head cover protectors. I have also notice that you have to buy extra brackets for the auxiliary li...

Re: Engine bars

After my recent experience I can say that Heed bars not necessary will be enough for your engine. I was hit in the rear when I was fully stationery, but it wasn't anywhere light hit. I was ejected to the air. Bars took a lot, they bent and obviously have scratches. However cylinder covers also took ...

Re: Bob21's Twenty Twenty One's annual RT meet.

Sorry guys. As much as I'd love to join you lot next weekend, yesterday events drop that possibility for me I'm afraid.
I was hit in the back by other rider, and have some damage to my brand new RT  :'(
Need to wait for insurance and BMW to sort out my bike.
