Both my EFE and Bad Boy have Exides - although Harleys typically like HD/Deka batteries better.
I don't have any experience of this BS brand so I might get the Exide as that is at local shop in stock, too.

Re: Tyres for R1100RT?
Eventually Pilot Road 3 pair was ordered and bike went in today. I was planning on a nice ride on Sunday as forecast has been for warm weather. Well, as it often happens to me the front tyre that arrived from Parts Europe was a Pilot Power so just the rear was changed. Front will have to wait until ...

Re: Battery replacement OEM or Lithium Ion??
If they are good enough for Fabio Quartararo and Jules Cluzel they must be good !!. BS battery is what I was recommended and offered at local dealer. Slightly higher cpacity does not hurt. It seems that Exide gel batteries are not that praised. What is the quality of these BS batteries, d...

Re: Tyres for R1100RT?
Roadsmart IIs are available. For some reason I did not pay attention to them as Dunlops usually are more expensive here than other brands. Now that I checked the prices they are actually cheaper than Michelins. Need to read a bit more of these as well before ordering.

Re: Tyres for R1100RT?
Thanks for the info - Michelins they are! I'll visit the dealer in the morning. With a bit of luck I may have new tyres on for Easter weekend.

Tyres for R1100RT?
As you most likely are aware R1100RT tyre sizes are 120/70ZR17 and 160/60ZR18. If the Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT would still be available decision would be easy - unfortunately rear tyre is no longer available. I was looking at available tyres on Mynetmoto and 'main' alternatives appear to be: Pirelli...

Re: Shopping for an R1200RT
"Shopping for an R1200RT" and this is how it turned out. :-[ Could be that it was nostalgia which was one factor as I had one of these 21 years ago. Jeez, I'm getting old... It is a 1996 Siena Rot with 43k miles on the clock. Any R1100 forum you could recommend? https://i.imgur.c...

Thank you for your reply.
Is one able to feel the difference between Hexhead and Camhead engines as the power and torque numbers seem to be very close?
I'm mostly thinking about torque.

Shopping for an R1200RT
So, I find myself shopping for an R1200RT despite I had decided not to get more bikes. ^-^ After the 2014 R1200RT LC I had it has taken a while to notice the diffences per years: hexhead, camhead, servo brakes, non-servo brakes and so on. Slowly I start to understand the differences/change...

Greetings!
I have been reading this forum for a some time and finally decided to register. Thank you for letting me in. I have been riding motorcycles for the past four decades or so. During those years among other bikes I have had R1100RT, K1200LT, K1100RS, 2 x K1100LT, K1600GT and a R1200RT LC. Now there is ...
