Help with German translation to English

I bought some wide angle mirror glass that is shaped like the OEM mirrors on my 2018 RT.  They are made in Germany and the directions are written in German.  The German directions are "nach dem kleben mit kreppband oder tesaband fixieren trackenzeit min 12 stunden".&n...

Re: OEM Power Sockets

I think I will only replace the front socket with a non-BMW plug.  It appears the easiest one to get to.  Also, the rear socket should be able to handle my wife's heated vest since both sockets together are rated for 10 amps according to the owner's manual I downloaded.

Please don't take this as an endorsement as I only found it by doing a web search.

Re: Exhaust flap

Here's a company that makes a device that fools the ECU into thinking the servo is still connected.

They also have an explanation of what the exhaust flap is for.

Re: OEM Power Sockets

It looks like the easiest and cheapest way will probably be to replace the existing BMW outlets with Powerlets.

OEM Power Sockets

I want to rewire the power outlets on my 2018 RT straight to the battery.  My bike has the outlet at the rear also.  Does anyone know what type of electrical connectors are on the OEM sockets?  I would like to have the right ones on hand before I go throug...

Re: Sena SM10 and Motochello - Are they worth using?

I believe it might be better. I found a review online that said it had very good sound quality. Pros - It is Bluetooth 4.1 vs the Sena being Bluetooth 2.1.         Cost is a lot less than the Sena. Cons - Not water resistant       &n...

Re: Sena SM10 and Motochello - Are they worth using?

I have been thinking about trying the Motochello and SM10 setup on my bike.  I have looked at other bluetooth transmitters and was wondering if they might work also.  One in particular that I have looked at is the TaoTronics. link here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IV1H1ME/ref=sr_ob...

Sena SM10 and Motochello - Are they worth using?

I recently got a 2018 RT and a Sena 20S headset.  I am not happy with the audio quality of the satellite radio with this set up.  I have read that the upgrade for the factory setup is to add a Motochello speaker bridge and a Sena SM10 dual stream bluetooth transmitter.  I ...

Re: Tools required to remove wheels on R1200RTWC

The tool as pictured will not work on a R1200RTWC because the internal dimension of the axle is 19mm.  The 19mm end has the hole drilled for the bar to go through.  If the hole were to be drilled through the 22mm end there would be no problem using it.

Re: Tools required to remove wheels on R1200RTWC

The front axle tools could take the place of the 3/8' ratchet and extension  Interestingly the R1200RTWC bike is not listed as a bike it is made for.  I imagine that it is but I wonder why it is not listed that way.  This is something I will investigate.

Tools required to remove wheels on R1200RTWC

FYI I've made a list of the tools required to remove the wheels on a R1200RTWC.  My 2018 RT will be my first bike that does not have a functional tool kit so I put this list together so I could at least remove the wheels if needed. Front wheel 1. T30 torx bit  --...

Re: Alarm

I would try disconnecting the alarm to make sure it's not just a coincidence that it happened after you installed the alarm.
