Re: Battery Chargers

Anyone using a solar battery charger ? A quick Google search shows up quite a few different ones. I would imagine a good idea if your garage does not have power. Oxford do one that gets reasonable reviews but I see it's not waterproof, which could be a problem. Or more expensive but waterproof https...

Re: Tax, Test & Insurance

I regularly visit : https://twitter.com/sussexroadspol?lang=en before moving to Norfolk so now checkout https://twitter.com/nsrapt?lang=en It is a real eye opener. The number of unlicensed drivers, vehicles with no insurance or MOT and drivers over the drink or drug limit. I have kind of changed my ...

Re: Tax, Test & Insurance

I too have reminders sent but having data in one easy place seems like a good plan. Ever since I headed off to the Black Forest for 4 days of fun with the wrong MOT certificate and mine expired !! I've been a little more careful. It least it gave my friends a good laugh. Mr organised cocked up. :)

Re: Tax, Test & Insurance

Tried that once with two cars started off cheaper and then the following year was more expensive than two separate policies with the same company. Tend to chop and change each year. PITA but until they start to reward loyalty I will give them as much grieve as possible. It's now an annual game.

Re: Tax, Test & Insurance

OK thanks. Its now £4.99 but it then opens up features such as storing insurance data etc.. I'm only tracking 4 vehicles, 2 bikes, my wife's car and my daughter's car. However I still cannot remember when insurance is due always having to look it up. The app puts all that in one place. Neat.

Looks like a useful app. Just tried the free version. Do you have the paid version ?

Question how would you know if it's made of the same stuff. Is the metal of good quality. I wouldn't be able to tell.

Yes Casbar it is a Ducati and KTM problem. Good to hear that BMW app works better. I have the analogue bike so cannot try it.

Re: TFT, BMW Connected App and Navigation

Good price. I have a Rider 550. Its OK but my iPhone screen is so much better. I would like to see a better sized screen and the ability to transfer GPX files directly into it via BT. MyDrive is poor as well, compared to MyRoute App or Goggle MyMaps. You cannot import GPX files using the MyDrive iPh...

Re: TFT, BMW Connected App and Navigation

Now every new bike has to have the mandatory TFT screen, they all seem to be on the band wagon of trying to produce apps linked to the bike to provide navigation. Problem is they are all very poorly executed. My KTM 890 adventure has KTM MyRide app. To be fare the link to bike works fine and the sim...

Re: Fuel Stabilizer

Just to add to this if you have an older bike with metal tank and carbs then I think the best solution for storage is to drain the fuel completely.

Re: Fuel Stabilizer

Thanks for posting interesting indeed. So probably best to fill bike with 98 premium if storing. Must admit it one reason I don't SORN my bikes over winter. Don't use them as much as I used too but do try to go for a ride once a month if I can. However I might put 98 in the tanks next time I fill up...

Re: Fuel grade

Yes I read that article. However surely they buy fuel in advance so when oil prices fall it takes time before that filters down to reduced fuel prices. Like all stories on the BBC you don't get the full picture. I wouldn't believe all you read. However they could be trying to claw back sales they lo...

Re: Test rides

I'm only guessing but I bet the worst age group for motorcyclists is the born again 40 + year olds on sports bikes. Been there and survived. The 60 + age group if they have made it this far must have learnt enough to stay out of trouble. So saying to them no test rides is a little ridiculous. Plus i...

Re: Black Friday - 26th Nov. 2021will

Well usually I ignore Black Friday deals but MyRoute App got my attention with 50% off. So 19.50 Euros for a year. Works out at around £16.41
So I will give it a try for a year. Think the full price is too expensive.
