Ideal Toolkit?

Guys, I'm looking for some advice on the ideal toolkit I should be carrying on the LC RT.  My previous bike was a Multistrada and I had the kit nicely sorted.  Now I seem to need all these funny torx keys and stuff like that.  I don't want to go to the expense of a Cruz ki...

Re: February winter road trip

Sounds like some of you guys need to man-up! I'm commuting regularly from London to Brighton, all toasty-warm and dry with my heated seat and comfort screen. Last Sunday went for a group ride-out down the Surrey/Sussex lanes to Arundel and when we got there, it was warm enough to sit outside for lun...

Re: Torx set

I'm new to BMW ownership.

I've always owned totally faultless Italian bikes before.

How worried should I be that one of the main threads on here is about the size of the tool kits people carry on their RTs??

Re: GS or Rt

Advanced riding in the form of IAM, RoSPA or other, will offer Roadcraft Skills, whereas, the likes of i2i will offer Machine Control Skills. Both skill sets can complement each other very well. I'm an Observer with London Advanced Motorcyclists (IAM).  Whilst our focus is on roadcraft, we...

Re: What have you got planned for 2015?

Aside from the usual few weekends around the UK, our big trip this year will be off-roading around Iceland so the new RT will have to wait a little longer before it gets to see its homeland again...

Re: Pannier modification

Thats a great idea, I may velcro my tire plugger kit and small pump in one of those spaces. I had them in the tail section of my 2012 but there is no room in the 2014. The mesh pockets are an excellent idea. I used to velcro my rain suit behind the pannier liner on my Multistrada.  Only tr...

Re: Unlocking the My Bike App on a Nav V installed on an RT.

No bluetooth kit needed at all with the Alpine unit.  Most of us just wire something like an Autocom system into it.  Theres lots of info on this forum about it.  I went back to connecting my Autocom too.  Gave me pleasure to subvert the BMW helmet marketing plot...

Strikes me that we might have different ideas of what counts as "dead easy"!
