Re: 2016 Backfire when up-shifting using shift assist
I have seen some conflicting information but fuel modulation is the most logical option, but if that is the case I don't understand why you would get unburnt fuel in the exhaust...

I am not sure whether BMW quickshifters cut the spark or the fuel injection... if they cut the spark then I would expect to hear that a lot more but I haven't heard it at all.
Does this only happen in certain gears or at certain RPMs or across the range?

Re: Rider's Manual - Service
The manual usually has a few actual blank pages in the back, seen those used before, should give you a few years yet if you haven't already used them?

Re: New kid in town and a “big” question
The LC is a better bike in NEARLY all respects. It certainly feels more agile to push around. However, If I were 5'7" I would think very carefully before I tried to paddle any of these bikes around. The LC is faster, quicker, more economical, has less faults that have flagged up on the various...

Re: Topbox RT1250 - urgent!
In addition, retrofitting the electrics may not be possible as the case isn't equipped with th requisite harness/switch. If the OP is looking for a box with lights then he needs to start with an electric case, unless someone can provide details on conversion parts. The 1200 does also use the electri...

I have the feeling that the light is potentially refittable (fittable) to a standard box ? ..... in that case (if correct) a any standard box off a 1200 / 1250 / K1600 will do your job. Worth checking this - going rate appears to be in the £250 to £350 region , dear but a lot cheaper than...

Re: Front disc rattle
Some movement is acceptable, it is a floating disc after all. Some models like the k1200 came from the factory with a sloppy rear disc assy. Less than a mil doesnt sound bad

Re: ### 2020 R1250RT Leaking Front Brakes After Recall Video ###
Its almost a certainty that cost was a factor in moving away from Brembo but cheaper doesnt necessarily mean worse. I can't say anything negative toward the hayes system so far. While the leak is an embarassing way to launch their new partnership, it happens, and on the whole it has been dealt with ...

Re: ### 2020 R1250RT Leaking Front Brakes After Recall Video ###
It may not be continuously variable, or infinitley variable but it is undoubtedly variable in that changing from one to another is varying. The reliability question is fair, but I have not heard of any failures yet and the three year warranty certainly allays my fears. As far as the brakes go I real...
