Re: What did you do today?

Picked up a nail in the rear tyre this morning, noticed after a drop in the tyre monitors pressure on the dash. Got home and tried to plug it with a rats tail, no joy. As both tyres are nearing the end of their useful life have arranged a recommended mobile tyre fitter to replace both on friday. Off...

Re: Battery Life

I replaced my battery on my 2016 last year more out of precaution really! The battery was good but a couple of times I had the bike not turn over and the clocks reset so I thought best to be safe than sorry :) Mine does the same if i use the kill switch or stall the bike. Won't start unless i turn ...

He's busy trying to drum up some interest in a UK meet this year.

Re: Battery Life

My 2019 is still on the original. Do about 10k miles a year and use it during the winter, dont know if this helps its longevity .

Re: 2024 Annual (UK) RT Meet

Sadly David you might not have a lot of luck with this request. Most of the serial attendees are committed Michael's meet up in July. If there's no interest then possibly best to concentrate on the 2025 meet which hopefully the usual suspects will be available for (and some new faces).

Re: Insurance (again)

My friends just bought one of the new 1300 gs's. Quote to change from his present bike1800 quid then they decided they wouldn't cover him. Got 850 quid with Bennetts in the end. Only got a years no claims. Out of interest I tapped my own details on the same bike onto a comparison site with my full ...

Re: South West & South Wales Area

I'm in the Picos mid may but if your plans change to early May then I'd be keen on meeting up somewhere around the Brecons.

Re: plastic emergency key

Tape it to an old credit card and keep it in my wallet. So I've always got it with me.

Cancelled mine when the bike got to 30k miles as the suspension isn't covered beyond this.
After a poor experience with a potential claim and the fact that the exhaust flap isn't covered it didn't seem good value for money.

Re: Annual Meet 2024

Could do that. I'd be happy to join you for a longer ride to germany etc. Might have to come back a bit earlier than you but can plan a solo route back.
July or later works best for me as Ive already got bike trips planned to Spain and France in May/ June.

Thanks for organising.

My rule (as I've got older) is that you can't take it with you.
