Re: USB Not Connecting
You need the BMW iPhone adapter cable that’s plugs into both the USB and 3.5mm connector.

Re: Bluetooth connecting helmet/phone/bike
I’ve ridden 8 hour days and my iPhone never got below a 50% charge using that device.beemerboy9 wrote:
Well done, I had not thought of that. It certainly solves the problem of the connection, but not that of keeping the phone charged as the BT eats through the battery.

Yes - if you have an iPhone, and you'll need to buy the BMW iPod adapter.kwarrrt1200 wrote:So, can I plug my phone into the USB glove box socket, pair the helmet with the bike, and then control music via the whizzy wheel?

Re: bluetooth sound quality to Sena 10s
There is a solution. This video shows the mod on a K1600, but it's the same for the 2014+ RTs.

Re: FM/XM Radio
I have Klipsch ear buds that I would like to use for the XM radio script i have on the new R1250RT. There is a USB port and a 3.5mm jack in the right storage compartment. Is there a hook up I can use to get XM radio to ear buds? Unfortunately no. You'd either need a Bluetooth headset, or just listen...

Re: Possibly a dimwit question.....
Or there's the option of just using your phone for GPS navigation. Plenty of routing apps available - inRoute, MyRoute-app, Rever, etc. I just started playing with Rever, and the Butler Maps layer is nice for finding great roads. Though I still prefer using BaseCamp with my Nav 6.

Re: Nav VI with Garmin VIRB Camera
I had the same issue. Sold the VIRB and got a GoPro with the wireless remote strapped right in front of the clutch reservoir - works like a champ!

Pairing order help needed.
No, with the phone paired to the Nav, the caller info on the Nav comes from the phone itself. The Smartlink app just gives you traffic and weather advisories.
EDIT: I just re-read that your using an Autocom setup that may work completely different. Maybe call Autocom to see what's up?

Pairing order help needed.
Just pair your phone to the Nav and you're all set. You can't make calls from the Smartlink app - that's done through the Nav.
