Re: South West & South Wales Area
A meet up post code might be useful... I was looking at routes to Aberystwyth bus station, but am now told it’s Abergavenny
Re: GS911 Blu
That's a bargain for someone. I paid a fortune for mine.

Re: New member from SE London/Kent
Welcome Ian.
I'm close to Gatwick, so not far away. I have a 2012 with 18k.
A few of us are off to France in July. Details are in the organised trips section. Perhaps you would like to join us?

Re: The Southern Softies group meet ups
I'm out most Sundays for breakfast somewhere (Chalet Cafe - Cowfold), Whiteways, Rykas....
Shoreham Airport does a good breakfast and there's plenty of parking there. How about a Southern Softies meet up there?

Re: Insurance (again)
My RT Insurance went up from £105 to £115. I didn't even bother looking around - just renewed it. My Tesla model Y went up from £840 to £1,496 with no claims or convictions in the last 24 years! At the same time, they (Admiral) increased the comp excess from £60 to £650!!! I tried to shop around, bu...

Re: Battery Life
It depends how you treat it.
I have a 2012. My bike doesn't get ridden as often as I would like. I charge the battery if it's been left in the garage for more than three weeks.
The battery then fails about every 3 years.

Re: 2024 Annual (UK) RT Meet
Why not attend the annual meeting in France, instead of arranging an alternative?
There's plenty of options available - day trip, short trip, long trip.

Re: Heated Items
I recently fitted one of these to my Deauville, On full power, it gets SO hot, I had to turn it down. It wires straight to the battery and an ignition live (to stop you leaving it on by mistake). Velcro attachment to your seat and a quick disconnect, waterproof plug. For just over £20, it's a superb...
