Personally if it was me I would buy a standalone sat nav like the Garmin or TomTom
There will be plenty of people along soon enough to tell you of the issues of the expensive BMW Nav range and why to avoid it
You should be able to remove the mount and fit a different sat nav there

Re: Brake Caliper Pistons (To Lube or Not ! !)
Never lube them because of the issues you already describe
They aren't lubed from the factory and its not in any part of the servicing on any bike so there is no real need to do it
What is your reasoning for wanting to lube them?

Buying tips!
Just recently there has been a big uptake in scammers on Facebook groups and as such I suspect they could make their way on to forums. I would just like to say to please be vigilant when buying off anyone selling parts & accessories online be it on here of Facebook etc. Always meet in person if ...

Re: Drilling holes in screens !
I have the same screen and it's actually half an inch taller at full height!
But the shape makes the air flow better in my opinion
I think it's the right size and the air management is good

Re: What don't you like
gearing too tall as mentioned! I don't have the same slow speed control on the throttle and in the gears on this as I had with the FJR on the RT I am constantly feathering the clutch at low speeds The lack of a handle on the top box and the fact you have to lift the rider and pillion seat to disconn...

Re: Turn off aux light warning with GS911??
Unfortunately not no!
It's a trip to the dealers to get it coded out
I had the same issue but instead I replaced the lights under protest for the newer nano ones
