Re: Tank Ring mounted tank bag with Keyless fuel Cap

If you are shopping for as SW Motech bag, make sure you purchase the correct line of rings/bags combo. Mine initially came with the wrong ring -- ION bags need ION rings, and EVO bags need EVO rings -- the 2 systems don't intermingle

Re: Tank Ring mounted tank bag with Keyless fuel Cap

Ahh -- you'll love your bike The 2014-2016 have plastic tank "covers", so "magnetic base" tank bags don't work. BMW offers a conventional strap bag, so that there are 2 straps in the front and 2 in the back that attach to hard points on the bike. When you need to fuel up , or per...

Re: IMPROVED HORN

as you can see in the photo, the denali i put a little bend in to center the horn in the space. This setup gives me tons of room with no interference. The stock bracket is parallel to the fork, and the Denali bracket is rotated like a bent knee by roughly 90 degrees to get the horn tucked up undernea...

Re: Corbin Seat R1200rt lc

Hi Peter, Although not in USA, (in Canada),I can speak to MY past experience with aftermarket seats on my K16, RT (hex and Oil) , and K13. The Corbin (owned 3)  i have found to be designed for someone slightly taller than I am. I am 6'0 and about 210lbs. The dishing in the seat (concave sha...

Re: Bluetooth audio sounds awful

That's ok, I think everyone here is at least cordial with their point of view. And I don't doubt that many have had their fair share of Bluetooth-ache. I just bought a Shoei Neotec and have sourced a new Cardo SHO-1 for the intercom. Apparently the sound is phenomenal according to webbikeworld.&...

Re: Bluetooth audio sounds awful

She listens to the bike in stereo using the cardo music share function. And since she isn't driving I don't see the lack of nav prompts to her as a "problem"

Re: Bluetooth audio sounds awful

Coming in late to the discussion(as usual). I have a nav v installed on a bt equipped bike with a cardo q3 duo. Following the instructions of the gps, bike and intercom, I have access to my iPod music (in the compartment) my iPhone, my nav prompts, the bike radio, and of course intercom. My passenge...

Re: Finnaly got my dream bike

It will be interesting to see when the 2017 models arrive at the dealership this fall. They may all be black. I can see different body colours in different markets, but I cannot imagine offering different colours on the drivetrain.

Regardless, what options did you get on your bike?

Re: Tank bag choices for 2013 RT

this may not be feasible, but one solution I tried (that worked) was using the plastic "chassis" from a BMW rail bag , removing the Motorrad bag portion, and riveting on a new smaller bag. I had the motorrad bag for my 2009, then bought a second bag to have a "modular" setup for ...

Re: Finnaly got my dream bike

So was Troy your salesman.....? He sold me mine -- which, incidentally , looks the same as yours. Also -- is your final drive silver? I cannot tell from the photo. I know there was a member here claiming "every new RT has a black final drive, however the Motorrad Canada rep laughed when i told ...

Re: IMPROVED HORN

I finally received my Sound Bomb Mini and the recommended BMW plug above yesterday. I prepared the plug with 2 spade connectors for the horn. The Denali is significantly larger than the stock horn, so when i used the stock bracket it was interfering with both fork legs on both legs when turning full...
