Re: Sheep Skin seat cover?

I just installed my new Russell seat today. I only got to ride it for about 10 minutes. First impression is very good, but it is at least an inch taller than stock. Not great for my 29-inch inseam. :( I will just have to see what happens over the next 500 miles ;) Russell does NOT recommend sheep sk...

Re: Sheep Skin seat cover?

Yeah, that's the 3-d thing I tried. It does make the seat cooler, but it did nothing for the pain :(

Re: Sheep Skin seat cover?

I have had this problem with every bike I have bought. The solution always has been a Terry Adcox seat, but Terry is no longer making seats, so I am getting desperate :o I end up getting pain and numbness in the area just below my femur bones after 15-30 minutes of riding. I presume it is a nerve an...

Sheep Skin seat cover?

I am considering getting a sheepskin seat cover for my RT. There seem to be all sorts of options. I have some major comfort problems with my existing seat. I am looking for some guidance of what I should be seeking. Should I be looking for long, medium or short fur length? Do I want a throw or custo...

Re: Loud OEM exhaust on '22 RT

I saw some posts about a stuck exhaust valve but did not realize it could make the exhaust louder. I will take off the exhaust and see if I can look at the valve. Thanks. I removed the entire butterfly from my 17 RT. It has made almost no difference to the exhaust noise volume. The only difference ...

Re: Oil level - after draining hot, filling cold

Thankyou, that straightened out the oil filling issue. I was reading the posts about oil here in this section of the forum. Others have mentioned this thermostatic valve issue... I can't imagine why this would be needed but then I have never been told to check my oil level AFTER a ride lol. I have ...

Welcome. We are going to need a lot more information on the bike when you start asking those questions. Start with model, year, mileage, any modifications and the type/amount of riding

That is a wise decision. It took me 20 years to figure out that it was time to leave that political cesspoolnot

Checking Antifreeze level?

With all of this summer heat, I am more concerned with the level of my antifreeze. I have found that it is nearly impossible to see the level through that tiny port in the fairing. (I use Prestone rather than the BMW blue). I have been considering adding something highly visible to float on top of t...

Thanks for the responses. It looks like I am just going to have to live to what I have :(  I was hoping for a simpler solution.

Changing the handlebar angle?

Maybe I have strange hands, but they don't seem to like the angle of the bars on my 2017 RT. It is my understanding that when riding my knuckle joints should line up with the bars as in the first picture. The problem is my knuckles look more like the second photo. I haven't seen anything on the mark...
