Now on to my second Twin Cam model, had a 2010 bike (see photo) covering 38,000 miles in 4 years.
Recently changed it for a 2012 model in Midnight Blue Metallic with 3,000 miles on the clock.

Re: How do you check your oil???
From the Rider's Manual The oil level varies with the temperature of the oil. The higher the temperature, the higher the level of oil in the sump. Checking the oil level with the engine cold or after no more than a short ride will lead to misinterpretation of oil level. In order to ensure that the ...

Re: Test ride - brand new 2014 R1200RT
Interesting comments about the vibration of the new LC RT, I too test rode one recently.
The bike I was comparing it against was a 2010 Twin Cam model, and after the ride on the LC, I preferred the TC.
In the end, I part-ex'd the 2010 bike with 38K miles on for a 2012 with 3K on the clock.

As above, have struggled to find a site dedicated to RT's, hopefully this one will fill the gap.

Next time you are in the UK, pop up and see Mick Kendrick in Sunderland, he recently reset mine.
