Re: Older RT'S
Thanks Levisp and Rtman10,
fancied the 1100rt, I like the looks, but not sure about the easy to fettle bit, abs and fuel injection as stated
R100RT is what I originally thought as RTman10 suggests and still affordable.
Honda ST 1100 had crossed my mind bit more affordable than st1300?

Older RT'S
Wonder if someone here could point me in the right direction, been considering a second bike, fancy a fiddle / fettle machine. So question is how far back to go, ie carbs and no fancy expensive electronic module stuff other than electronic ignition. R80RT, R100RT, R1100 RT, R1150RT What about RTP 85...

Re: Beam swing to ride abroad without dazzling oncoming road users
Andy, According to AA driving in Europe compulsory equipment, headlight deflectors, note 11 this adjustment not required for two wheel vehicles, as the beam pattern is different make of that what you will. PS I have never had a problem on recent trip. loaded with camping gear etc. http://www.theaa.c...

Re: Bmw warranty
A while back, I had a 2014 Honda cb500 X from new, build quality down, component quality down, corrosion problems etc, etc.
I was not alone.
OK, not an expensive bike, but my point is that even the mighty Honda, and I am a fan, build to a price, to compete in today's tough market.

Re: Bmw warranty
You can still fiddle / fettle with your parts, as you wish, with the warranty, but you won't fiddle / fettle a dead electronic computer module back to life for the price of a warranty.

wrap some tape around the screw heads, won't stop them coming loose, but may prevent loss.

Re: Bridgestone T30 GT
Had my T30 EVO GT'S fitted on Wednesday, only had 60 miles of M'way plus a bit of A road, and it was heaving down all the way, so nothing to report but will find out next week on my tour de France. Have heard only glowing reports from users that I Know, and they are a picky lot . ;D

Thank you David, I was wondering why my inner pad was slightly thinner, after a quick inspection before my next trip.

Re: Going to look at a 2005 R1200RT. What do I need to know?
Good Shout matey, was that the one for sale in Northern Ireland? took a look that on the net, nice looking example, think it might well of been advertised for that kind of price over here, so hope all goes well with it. Might be worth contacting BMW warranty services if it has full service...

Re: Right angle tyre valve adapters
No problem,
As mentioned above, probably very wise to run the pump direct from battery, I fitted another Hella/Powerlet socket wired direct to the battery through a 10 Amp fuse.
