Re: SOFT THROTTLE
Yes....I noticed the same on my 2019 R1250RT. When compared to my previous 2014 R1200RT it has a very much softer feel and strangely makes my wrist ache, possibly because the throttle has to be rotated further. I'm pretty sure the total movement of the twistgrip on both is the same, but y...

Re: SOFT THROTTLE
Are you in RAIN mode with ASC (Riding Pro),vs ROAD or DYNAMIC? The will switch with a corresponding change of the suspension settings of the Dynamic ESA to SOFT, NORMAL, or HARD. all settings same on both bikes, ie Dynamic etc, my thinking is the "shiftcam" has a mild cam operating at the...

SOFT THROTTLE
Very recently changed from a 2016 1200 RT LE to a brand new 1250 RT LE, the 1250 throttle action is "soft" , by that I mean that the 1250 twistgrip for a given movement gives a lower and gentler rev'increase than than the equivalent movement on the 1200, it's less "aggressive" I'...

Re: Retro fits
At over £150 for the part which takes 10 mins to fit, it would be taking the pi$$ to charge for fitting. Especially if you bought the bike from the same BMW dealer. You're right David, I've just pulled it apart and sure enough, 10 mins to do, I'll order the kit. Re' the "corona" ...

Re: Retro fits
Thanks to all that replied, Extra thanks to David for the vid/parts #, I've now heard from Motorrad re' the brake light , total price to supply and fit is £154, David, if I'm reading your part list info correctly, the brake light kit alone is about the same price as the Motorrad ...

Retro fits
Does anyone know if the corona lights (circular angel eyes) and the high level top box brake light can be retro fitted to a 1650 RT LE ? I've just purchased a 7 month old one with only 600 miles, it has the top box with central locking and interior light but lacks the actual hi'level brake...

Re: R1250rt oil warning error
Problem solved through drastic step of replacing the engine. Apparently one other bike - in Germany - has the same intractable problem. So they have shipped my engine back to Germany for intensive investigation. Thank you Motorrad - astonishingly good customer service. [/quote ...

Re: Finding excuses for a ride?
Apparently between 100-200 bikers at the Raven caff' at the same time on Sunday, a pal in Stafford via a ph' call told me he rode past without stopping and the caff' car park was crammed and the tarmac lorry park across the feeder road was half full, knowing how large those car/lorry parks are I can...

Re: Finding excuses for a ride?
I was in a group of 2, me and him, but if you stop in a layby for example, sometimes other bikers 1 or more will stop and chat, which happened to us 2 on the way to the Raven, at Shawbury nr the RAF base, a bloke on another 1200 GS, (gawd, they are everywhere those GSs) , stopped and said ...

Re: Coronavirus
I have posted in Northern Monkeys so i won't say too much on the Virus here.. but i do believe in my opinion, we are over reacting... statistically the nation has only 0,001 percent out of the 50 million inhabitants affected.. puts things into perspective. We are riders riding our bikes.....
