Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT
To summarise what we know so far on the 21 R1250RT. 1. There are no programmable buttons, everything is pre-set, including what you can see in the four split windows when using split screen mode. 2. There are no gauges for: Fuel Range TPMS Odometer Temperature You can program the Display/Status lin...

Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT
The range can be set to be permanently visible, just like the current RT. Don't know how to do that, the fuel gauge, TPMS, Odometer, range and trip info is under the single User Defined field that you can scroll through by pushing the up menu button, so you can only have one thing displayed at a ti...

Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT
Yep you can keep your phone on you, on another forum a member said he did this and got about 2 hours out of his phone. Obviously phone battery etc. comes into it, but the BMW APP must be on all the time if you want to see the maps. The second thing is music, it will be running on...

Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT
A bit more of an update on the TFT, this is it in its most useful format i.e. split screen and its pretty and got lots of colour but its dominated by the rev counter. I know we all aspire to be GP riders but out of 100 touring motorcyclists, how many would put the rev counter as the single most impo...

TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT
This will change as I and others learn about the new bike, so, if we put the pieces of knowledge in a common location we can all collectively become wiser. What I know so far, the four buttons have permanently assigned functions.Buttons Button 1 Pause or play music, when you stop the bike the music ...

The BEST motorcycle I have ever owned (and the WORST)
Just posted this on the K16 forum that I am in. The best about the K16 The ultimate motorcycle, probably the last six-cylinder motorcycle to be produced. It is agile (when moving) and constantly impresses both the rider and those accompanying the rider. The bike has “Presence” it stands out from th...

Re: New Bike Shopping
A good friend of mine decided to surprise his wife when he moved from a K16GTL to a XR1000. Imagine his surprise when, after one week, he was told to take it back. He now rides a R1200RT. I am moving from a K16GT sport to a R1250RT. I ride one up. The K16 is a...

Re: OEM or different screen for R1250RT?
David, Whereabouts are you, near Reading or Slough? If so I have a couple of different sized 2018 R1200RT screens (VStream if I remember correctly) that I think also fit the R1250RT. You are welcome to try them out to see how you get on before committing to purchasing anything. PM me if interested....

OEM or different screen for R1250RT?
Hi Guys, I am trading in a K16GT for a R1250RT. The RT has the short/sport windscreen on it and I will be changing it to either an OEM screen from BMW or another screen depending on your advice. So, what do your recommend ? BMW are asking £300 for a standard screen. Tha...

Hi DavidMck I have no problem saving to and playing music from the Nav VI, you can use the wheel to shuffle tracks, albums etc Hi Michael, you have pinged my interest, can you adjust volume using the wonderwheel, I lost that when I moved to the Sena SRL and now have a Sena RC3 on my handlebar to ad...

Re: Playing music on Nav VI on a R1200/1250RT
Thanks guys, I remember now, the last 6 bikes I have had all had a radio, at the minute I use the USB socket to play music and have not used the Nav VI. The bike i am looking at seems to have everything I need, except the radio. I would have got a new R1250RT but am waiting for BMW to add ...

Playing music on Nav VI on a R1200/1250RT
Hi Guys, I have a K16GT and have been looking to move back to the RT, I have had 3*K16's and have had 3*RT's the last being a 2010 model. All have had a radio. I have found a nice R1250RT, however, it does not have a radio. I like music when on European trips. I have a BMW Nav VI...
