I did this on a 2012 K1600GT, she was a bad bike, overheated twice on the way up, however, she didn't overheat on the way down. I am on my third K16, thinking of a R1250RT next.

Currently I am favouring the wired set-up. If you are thinking of going Bluetooth - I would recommend Sena.
