Place the ball of your right foot, with boots or hard-soled shoes on the center-stand tab ,move the stand down to the ground and rock the bike side to side lightly until you feel both feet of the center stand firmly on the ground . The left hand grips the left handlebar and right hand grips the bike...

My RT is 2015 vintage and coming from a heavier  K1200GT I don't understand  why I struggle with it- My technique hasn't changed, so must be old age! :alas:

Sure I have read on other forums ,applying the rear brake pedal increases braking effect. Personally only use it in panic mode where 40 odd years biking logic kicks in automatically.

My  Jaguar has adaptive LEDs and puts running lights on the front in good light and rear lights are on permanently, good light or bad. It sees around corners with extra lights also, God knows how much to replace them if stone shatters them!  I have more of a problem with the idiots...
