Re: I'm Thinking of trading in my F800GT for a R1200RT

I leave my easyturn on the garage floor, drive in over it ,put bike on main stand, spin it round and leave it on the easyturn till ready to go out again, 45 seconds tops. Best £80 I ever spent.

Re: I'm Thinking of trading in my F800GT for a R1200RT

My rational was that as I was getting a bit older the GS was too heavy to manhandle around the garage etc Solved the turn around in garage problem with a turntable from Easyturn. Superb piece of kit and then test rode a used 1200RT after nearly committing to a new 800 GT. Glad I did, chalk and chee...

Re: North of England 20th April Rideout

Spent the whole day up there myself, it was stunning so clear and not much traffic just a few bikes whizzing about, perhaps a little more notice next time would have liked to meet up for a brew and a chat.

Pic of my one and only stop, for fuel.  8)

Re: Rear view Mirror vibration

I would walk away as previously stated, and if budget allows look around for a 2010- 2013 model. BMW dealer prices are slightly higher, but when you take into account the warranty, service history, tax etc it ain't so far from non franchised dealer price. Also less likely to be a pup, as it's been u...

Re: What have you got planned for 2016?

Going to Belgium and France on a bit of a pilgrimage, 3 nights Ypres, 3 nights Verdun, 3 nights, Albert, visiting memorial sights from the 1914 -18 conflict.
A few of us going camping, and over via Hull Zeebrugge late May.

Then a few long weekend camping trips in UK, as and when. Happy days be

Re: Question ???

Unless you just washed it, and some soap solution got stuck in the hole, clean it off and see if it reappears, at least then you will know if it's leaking something or not.

Re: First impression

Don't wait until the clutch is fully in and then select first gear, drop it into first while pulling the clutch in, according to local guru it's quite normal, caught me out a few times at traffic lights.

And yes the gear box can be a bit clunky and woolly.

T6 pilot, now that makes sense,

I ask only because eg.  .1 to .3 bar does't sound much, but it converts to 1.5 to 4.5 psi.
