Denali Soundbomb

Right this may be a stupid question but I have fitted a Denali Soundbomb compact to my 2016 LC. The instructions make no mention of removing the OE horn and they both fit. But I can hardly hear the Soundbomb, wired through my Cansmart, so do I need to remove the OE horn and if so what do I do with t...

Re: SW update for GS/GSA/RTP on my '20 R1250RT

Well if it is not meant for your bike they need to put the correct software on it. I’d go back and demand that as it’s clearly wrong.

Re: insurace time again

My insurance is due so the usual shopping around. BeMoto wanted £341! BMW Motoradd quoted less than £200 and my current renewal is £138 so why the difference? Guess I’ll stay where I am!

Wunderlinq/Blackboxembedded

Has anyone bought the Wunderlinq/Blackboxembedded phone mount? I have a Garmin XT but that doesn’t work with the wonder wheel but the Wunderlinq does. I know I’d need to use a nav app but it would be useful to be able to control my phone rather than leaning forwards trying to do things. Just wondere...

Re: OEM Top Case Luggage Rack

I’ve got the Wunderlich rack fitted to my top box (by the PO). My helmet, a Shoei Neotec fits inside with no issues so I guess it depends on your helmet! I just have to have it at the correct angle to get the lid to shut correctly (only because I have a road atlas in my top box) but that could be th...

Denali lights wanted

I have decided to add some lights to my RT and am looking for some Denali D2 or similar. Buying new is probably not an option so has anyone got any to offload? I think to use them with a CanSmart they need a third wire so they can dim when indicators are on. Any alternatives to Denali?

Re: Bike sometimes not starting

Just to jump on this thread as my bike, a 2016 1200 with 39000 miles with a full BMW SH is also intermittently not starting when hot. It will almost turn over but then all power goes which resets all settings. After a few seconds it then fires up with no issues so I was thinking that maybe the batte...

Re: Mesh jackets

Well back in August when it was well over 30° I’d had enough and stopped at Sportsbikeshop (other motorcycle clothing emporiums are available) and bought a mesh jacket. It was a Held Jakata in grey. What a difference that was even with a back protector. Not cheap but well made and a good fit. So I’m...

Google is normally your friend for such things but alas not for renting one of these.

Re: Split bearing puller

Is it similar to the one I posted? I need to get in a small gap behind the gear to pull it off the spindle. Normal claw types won’t work - I’ve tried!

Split bearing puller

I am trying to find a split bearing puller like the one in the pic. I need one that will cope with a 150mm bearing/gear but don’t want to buy one as I am only going to use it twice. Has anyone got one I can borrow/rent somewhere close to East Anglia?

Re: Wardrobe clear out!

Prompted me to look. One set of leathers and at least two older textile suits besides my Oxford Mondial laminate suit. Several pairs of gloves both summer and winter plus they have all just been joined by a Held Jakarta mesh jacket yesterday. Got fed up with melting in the Mondial jacket. Oh and two...
