BMW Motorrad ASAP Portal?

I've taken delivery today of a set of BMW cylinder head guards pt/no 77 12 8 357 955. But there are no fitting instructions included apart from a reference to an ASAP web portal where they can be downloaded from. I've had a google around but not found anything. Any pointers as to where I need to loo...

Re: Slight capsize incident

Just another point on this subject. I swapped over to my BMW comfort seat today and it seems to be just that bit lower, allowing better placement of my feet when stopping, so hopefully it will help prevent any mishaps!

Re: Swapping parts to a twin-cam bike?

I had engine crash bars fitted to my 06 RT and I'm not sure I want to re-fit these to the 12 RT but rather go with a set of cylinder head guards. I've seen these: https://www.bmw-motorrad-bohling.com/uk/bmw-aluminium-cylinder-guard-set-for-r1200xx-models-2010.html?LGWCODE=49608;86700;4971&gclid=...

I'm also going to plug this combination in, just to see if it works on a 2012 RT.

Re: Swapping parts to a twin-cam bike?

So the BMW Navigation mount and foil has turned up. Reading through the comprehensive manual I don't see any mention of the foil? It's the item on the right of the photo. Just looking for confirmation where this goes.

A really amazing looking machine, which is going to open up a whole new chapter of vehicle ownership for you. Whats the service schedule like?

Re: Service schedule for a 2012 RT

Are you going to use a BMW Dealer or an Independent Specialist. I have an excellent local garage Motoscot (http://www.motoscot.co.uk/) owned & run by an experienced senior ex BMW / Honda  technician. Did a great job on my old 2006 bike so will likely go back there. I've sent him as tra...

Re: Service schedule for a 2012 RT

Thanks for the feedback, certainly sounds like there are some gaps and as the milage is coming up to 12k I'm going to book the bike in and get everything done minus the oil & filter. I think that's the only way to be sure and give me peace of mind.

Service schedule for a 2012 RT

The service history of my recently acquired bike is a bit of a grey area. The first two service were completed by an authorised BMW dealership up until 1184 miles in March 15. I then have an independent ( www.RGM-uk.com ) completing an interim service in Aug 15 with a detailed itemised work sheet at...

Re: Swapping parts to a twin-cam bike?

Could ditch that in favour of a fender extender, before the engine overheats. Actually I think it already has a fender extender as well as the snow plough! It does work as the engine is spotless and normally you don't see it. But I know it's there, which will play on my mind! The other great improv...
