Very happy to take your word for it, but the links did not show me the plug and socket part numbers that I could use on this side of the pond???

Wow. I am not normally a fan of Wunderlich stuff, but they have made a great job of this black one.
My thoughts exactly, not at all impressed with Wunderlich stuff in the past, but this protective plate is good, which is why I fitted one to my R1250RT before it had done 20 miles!!

Speaker Connectors for R1200/1250 RTs?

I am looking to install an Autocom unit into my RT and would like to hook up to the speakers without having to cut or posi tap into the speaker wiring. Having done this before in my old R1200RTs in the past I know the speakers have simple connectors and if I could locate a set it would allow me to c...

Whereabouts are you? I have a one that fits the 2014-2021 RT and 1600 bikes, but I think the pre-2014 (non water cooled RTs bikes) might be different.

Re: Top case, old or new model?

I have had both and each has bits that make it better than the other, most of which have already been mentioned. With regard to the carpet in the newer model, I have had to remove it because it makes stowing my BMW helmet very fiddly, it can be done but it is a right faff with the carpet in. The lac...

I hate the look of the new TFT, but I really should see it for myself before firming up my views.

Oh no!  :alas: I love:- The active cruise control (and linked to lean angle!), Adaptive LED headlights, The extra 3 "favourites" buttons, Better horn, Moving the aerial off the front of the bike, Better audio system, Back-lit buttons. But I dislike (hate) The TFT screen. If only t...

I am 6'4" and have had; K75RT, R1150RT, R1200RT, 2x R1200RT (WC) and now a R1250RT all from new. Each time I have changed bike (other than the K75RT) I have not noticed that much of a change, they are all heavy to pick if/when you drop them!! :-[ Ignoring looks as being too subjective to give a...

Re: How to Fit a TOM TOM Rider 4XX to a 1250RT

Can I ask why you decided not to use the Garmin V or VI and went with TomTom, what is better on the TomTom?

Second question, does the TomTom work via the wonder-wheel and display all the bike info pages the Garmin does?

Re: New BMW - not an RT

Man, I HATE external chains. If they put it in a chain case like the HONDA 50, the MZ or some of the old British Iron, id be pretty content with a chain though (aprt from the noise - although even that is attenuated somewhat if the chain case is designed well). Another "me too" on that. M...

Re: New BMW - not an RT

I've got a ‘13 F800GT sharing the garage with my RT. Fun bike. Light, agile, 90 hp, 470 lbs, belt, factory panniers and top case, ABS, ESA, 70 mpg. Once the RT becomes too much, the F-GT will become the alpha-male. Me too!! Back in early 2015 I had an RT on order and a 3 month wait for it to arrive...
