Re: RT Tank Bag
On my 06 and 12 RT I had the Touratech Flat Bag. It held everything that I need and was not obtrusive. I wish that they made the same size for the 2014 but the new one is much smaller. The Touratech is easy on and off using velcro. Easy to move to fill the tank. Check out the website, I think you wi...

Lowered Foot Pegs
I have noted in this forum that I liked my Suburban Machinery Drivers Peg Lowering kit. As nice as they are I needed the shifter to be a little lower. I got some information from Jim Baden on another forum and they are great now. To lower your shifter you need only to us a 10mm open end wrench to ho...

Re: Deals Gap...The Dragon
420 total miles today. Not much traffic on the Dragon today, only about a couple dozen bikes at the resort. I got 43 mpg going to the Gap and riding the curves for about 45 minutes. Got 47 going home on the interstate. I was wrong about it being 300 miles each way. The new VStream was effective as e...

Deals Gap...The Dragon
Tomorrow its going to be 71 here in Denver NC. Im going to give the new windshield and peg lowers a real test. Im headed to Deals Gap for a little spin on the Dragon. Its always best to go during the week. Weekends are filled with crazy people trying to set records. The gap is about 300 miles from h...

Re: Pillion
I hardheartedly agree with the others about the intercom. The question will be which one to get. I have the very basic bluetooth model. We dont listen to music and dont connect to the phone. Ann and I have to deal with our phones and email all day so we dont want anything to do with them w...

Re: 240 miles on a whim, knee issues
I to am 5'8" tall. I have the seat in the low position. Im trying the Suburban Machinery foot peg lowering kit. I was pretty amazed and the difference it made. Ive never used a lowering kit before and Im now sorry that I havent in the past. They do not affect the lean angle at all. My 60 year o...

Re: Pillion
When Ann rides we always have the topcase on. This provides her with a more secure feeling. When mounting the bike: We first do a quick check of all her gear, helmet, speakers, all zippers secure, shake test. Side stand down, bike in first gear, engine off. She gets on and settled in, uses the left ...

Re: Fuel grade
So, if my calculations are correct you are paying the equivalent of $2.22 per US gallon. At home I'm paying $2.49 for premium and $2.19 for regular.
To get ethanol free gasoline it will cost about 30 cents more per gallon.

Re: Dynamic Mode
The ESA setting can be put on either rain, road or dynamic. It automatically goes to hard but you can place it on either if you choose. I put mine in normal unless Im in the mountains or on twisty roads.

Re: Dynamic Mode
We had a great ride to Asheville today. Mid 60s and bright sunshine all day. Rode in Dynamic mode all day. Im probably going ot leave it there as the throttle is very responsive. Picked up a new Arai Defiant helmet for Ann. She loves it. Very quiet and fits great. No more hot spots on her forehead.

Dynamic Mode
I spent some time the other day riding in the Dynamic mode. It seems to me that the bike shifted more smoothly that in Road mode. Im not sure why that is unless it has to do with way I work the clutch. Beautiful weather here in North Carolina so Ann and I are headed to Asheville tomorrow for lunch. ...
