Re: Rear Chevron Markings

Rear Chevron Markings

I was stationary in a queue of traffic last week when I heard that scary sound of a car sliding to a halt behind me. So I have decided to improve the visibility of the RT from the rear. I know it will never protect me from that driver who just isn't paying attention but anything that can grab the at...

Re: What tools do I need for a long bike trip ??

Start of by listing the jobs you can do yourself. Reduce it by taking out the jobs you wouldn't do on the roadside. Then create a toolkit to do the jobs left on the list.

Re: R1200RT Radio

I call that a real bonus, the only thing wrong with it is that it's still picking up the other modes. I ride a bike to get away from daily stuff like radio

Re: RT sans Audio

I know what you mean BMjoe64, I'm surprised none of the after market plastics people  have though to meek complete replacement glove box type units with a built in door to replace the speaker covers that don't cover speakers. Likewise with the empty space on the opposite side to the actual ...

Re: RT sans Audio

Blimey Crawfordjohn, if you think that was offensive you better stay clear of some of the other forums mate  :beee:  As for the speakers, it must have literally taken you longer to type your question and take offence at a reply than it would have taken to take out the two screws an...

Re: Buying New, Demo or Used RT's

Looks like a low seat on that one. Funny enough mine had the low seat too so they changed it for a std seat off a new one :-)

So mine was 2 months older, has another 70 miles on it and cost me £700 less than that one... RESULT

Re: Buying New, Demo or Used RT's

There Re demo bikes and demo bikes... Your average demo sports bike is out every day getting its nuts thrashed off by lads who never had any intention of buying, they just wanted to "have a go" on the latest crotch rocket. Your average RT rider is less interested in thrashing the bike and ...

Re: Will this Bluetooth setup work?

Don't want to spoil your plan but I'm sure you are aware there are issues with the BMW kit.  As you say you don't bother with music it probable won't bother you that you can only connect the V to one headset. Volume control using the wheel only works with one helmet and there is no automat...

Will this Bluetooth setup work?

Having owned a 2010 RT with the Audio package I learned that I NEVER listened to music on the move. So my new 2015 RT LE which arrives on Wednesday is without the £1400 Audio system. I have a system 6 Helmet and System 6 Bluetooth Kit installed in it. I have the Nav V unit and the RTLE is GPS preppe...

Re: RTLC is HOT!

Man, compared to my old '05 RT, the '15 model gives off a ton of heat.  The radiator fan vents really put out the warmth.  The left side feels like a heat gun on my knee.  Good news is, it will feel great this Winter.  The bad news is, we get a lot more hot weath...
