Re: Hi-Viz vests

On a big touring bike looking from front I cannot see much of the yellow vest or another type high visibility clothing because of the large fairing. From sides and back they are more visible. I would not wear a full vest but this type of harness I could consider. Especially the pink. https...

Re: R1300GS

Sleekish. Will be interesting to see if the same design ideas will be used on new RS and RT.

Re: New helmet time. Which one?

I bought original Schuberth C3 when it was introduced long, long time ago. Was very happy with how it fit and how quiet it was. Eventually after 10 years or so the lining materials started to deteriorate and I wanted a new helmet. Went to the dealer to try C4 but that did not fit my head and so I go...

Re: What did you do today?

"Bless me for I have sinned..." As much as I liked the RT my aging body somewhat disagreed with - footpeg lowering kit helped a bit but it was not enough. I was looking at 1200 and 1250 GS but they were either way too expensive or the mileage was for me too much. And e v e r y b o d y see...

Re: Bouncy ride

Any of you ladies/gentlemen who use single person tyre pressures of 32/36 do you feel that it would increase tyre wear or bring any other negative aspects? I 'thought' that the correct pressures would be 36/42 and was surprised to see that for single person it actually is above mentioned 32/36. This...

Re: What did you do today?

Looks like RT is about ready for some touring - weekend weather should be around 20°C.

Just need to pick up the Barry Manilow Greatest Hits collection and I'm set for the road.

"Ooooooooooh Maaaandeeeee!!!"

Re: What did you do today?

Envy is strong with this one.

Well, I managed to take my GS to this guy who will take care of the carbs as they did not take well five years of sitting in garage.

Holy crap that RT fairing looks huge.

Re: What did you do today?

Well, after I got the RT sorted we went for a short ride to get coffee some 80 kilometers away. I was on RT and my buddy on his Suzuki. Ride there went OK but on our way back I noticed that my hips were starting to cause problems. After a while problem changed to considerable pain which made me drop...

"Is the R 1250 RT still the best?"

Could very well be.

However, it is IMHO technically quite complex and expensive so it is unfortunately out of reach for me.

Maybe I'm just jealous...

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT

If I recall correctly those Michelin Road 6 GTs were just under 600,- Euros locally with installation last year. That is about 100,- more than the Dunlops I bought - might try Michelins next time.
