If you buy from Loius-Moto, they guarantee that you will not pay customs/duty charges, they are included in their prices. My V-stream screen did not incur any extra charges.

Re: New to me R1200RT

I have just received a Fodsports M1-S Plus via Aliexpress for £64 delivered, not tried it on the bike yet, but it seems to work fine.

Re: Petrol tank leak

OK it was not the fuel control unit gasket, does anyone know if the fuel pump recall covers for hairline cracks originating from the control unit fixing screw shown on the picture?

Re: Seat Height Advice

If you have the width in your garage, a turntable is a great buy https://www.easyturn.co.uk/ My garage is 2.8m wide and the bike is 2.2m long.

Re: Fuel prices

Lossie isn't remote, I spent 12 years just down the road at Forres while based at RAF Kinloss (now an Army camp). Places like Altnaharra are remote.

Locally here the price went down from £1.65 to £1.59 after the duty cut, now it is £1.64.

Re: Petrol tank leak

I've had a look at the fuel pump this morning, it appears that the leak is coming from the fuel pump control unit seal. Removing the controller and the plastic/rubber that covers the bottom has disintegrated

Petrol tank leak

I filled the bike up with fuel this afternoon, more or less straight away I noticed the smell of petrol, sure enough petrol was dripping out from the front left of the tank. I got home and have removed approximately 6 - 7 litres before it has stopped. I plan to remove the fairing panels tomorrow to ...

Taller screen

I have a bike with what I think is a standard screen on my 2011 model, for my height 6'2" I have short legs and a long back so sit quite high. I have found http://www.bmw-windshields.co.uk/contents/en-uk/p140_bmw-r1200rt-windshield-tall-vstream-for-r1200rt.html but not sure if it for a 2010 - 1...
