Called the service tech today and explained what was happening. I think I'm facing an up hill battle. I didn't mention recall, was hoping he would have said or mentioned what RTman wrote above. Would the problem come up in a code check? I plan on taking it for a long ride tomorrow on some back roads...

Took my '11 rt in for new tires today and learned of the recall. Also got fitted with a new fuel pump, combination switches on both left and right of the handlebar.

The tires are worn, the front is cupped fairly moderate and the rear has a pretty significant flat spot where it's obvious the previous owner used the bike for straight line use only.
