Re: Are wetheads heavier on tires than oil cooled?

I am part way through second set of PR4 GT's on my 2014 RT, and expect to get 7K miles. Similar would have been achieved on first set had it not been for a badly placed slow which caused me to change slightly earlier. I generally look to change @ 7k and have done so fairly consistently on various bi...

Re: Which Nav Unit??

I couldn't see a situation where I would want anything other than a GPS which slots straight into the RT mount - and am very happy with the Nav V and the way it uses functions off the wonder wheel. So it's Nav V or a Garmin on the RT for me. I have however used Tom Tom extensively on other bikes and...

Re: Purchase of 2016 BMW 1200 RT

Have done 10,000 miles in 11 months including frequent long day rides all over UK and a 2,000 mile Alps trip. RT is absolutely the best thing I have ever ridden and the first bike I expect to keep for ever (or until I buy another RT). I am also of the opinion that BMW provide higher quality service ...

Re: Rear Chevron Markings

I reckon high vis clothing is the way to go.  I use a BMW Airshell jacket all year round. Only once when waiting on a closed road did a motorist coming the other way shout "when are you lot going to open the road" I sometimes use a Heine Gerick hi viz jacket and a white helmet, p...

That's tough luck, sorry to hear it.
I keep deliberating about protection for this sort of incident which can catch us all out in the wrong circumstances.

Re: SPRING IS JUST ROUND THE CORNER

Yep, easter  in Tesco's and spring on the way, nice thoughts as I eat some of the unsold xmas mince pies they had on offer for £00:40 a pack today, whilst doing a bit more route planning for this years Euro Tour and supping some mulled wine. Tough being a biker innitt.

Small world Mercator, an old biking friend of mine who I toured South of France with in 1970's now lives and works in Pelham. From what he tells me - everything you say is spot on.
