First accessory I bought for my RT. In my opinion it's basically a must have in the UK because it stops all the road crud getting. On the link pipe between your down pipes.

Re: R1200RS vs R1200RT for those interested
I've had a 17 plate RS as a loaner twice whilst my RT had been in for warranty work (and a Rallye, a R1200R, f700gs and S1000xr but that's another story...). The RS engine and handling is awesome and I found it very easy to filter with. However the screen and general weather protection was awful for...

Re: 2012 Parking light r&r
Hi, it's a ten minute job to change both sidelight bulbs. You simply need to remove the torx bolt behind the mirror pane which will remove the indicator panel. Them you can reach in and twist the side light housings via the little tab on them which will release the housing from the headlight area. I...

Re: K&N Air filter
I had a main beam bulb go this morning, what a finicky bit of kit to change on a TC RT. Nearly an hour to do one bulb. Was going to change all my bulbs to osram night breaker but I think not now.

Re: In for service..
I currently have an RS as a courtesy bike whilst the RT is undergoing some warranty work. The LC boxer is certainly very different and more torquey/smooth etc however I can't help but feel it lacks the character of the twin cam. The LC is definitely less picky about what gear it's in at the lower en...

Re: Oil and Filter Service Pack for Air cooled R1200
As per the title, after selling the RT I have two lots of Three Litre 15/50 Gulf Oil and MAHLE OC306 Oil Filter left over. So if anyone would like a cheap service kit I'm happy to sell these on for £20 a set. That's 3 litres of oil and one oil filter as seen in the photo. Is that 20 posted? Sent fr...

Problem with my auxiliary lights
Hi, I'm having an issue with the auxiliary lights on my rt. They're identical to wunderlich micro flooters however the branding doesn't seem to be there. I did not fit them so I cannot vouch for their age. They were working brilliantly and then the other day on the motorway they went out completely ...

Re: Loose panniers twin cam 2010 SE
I've had the same problem on my twin-cam RT. There is a set of alternative thickness pads available as a spare part. These have the effect of 'lengthening' the rising bar which engages under the bodywork of the bike, effectively tightening the tension against the bike. The existing 'standard' thick...

Re: Loose panniers twin cam 2010 SE
Are the upper mounting lugs loose before you mount the case ?. If yes it sounds like the Case Holder securing screws are loose ( 2 x M6 ). The lugs are solid. It's as if the plastic that comes up to lock it isn't long enough or something. It's definitely not right though. Sent from my SM-G920F usin...

Loose panniers twin cam 2010 SE
Hi, when cleaning my bike the other day I noticed when putting the panniers back on that they're not secure. I've triple checked I'm doing it right, the 3 mounting points are all lined up properly. There's a good 15-20mm of play which is quite a concern for me. Other than that the bike is fantastic,...
