I'm still using the cheapo non branded bags I got second hand on the bay for my Goldwing in 2014. Fitted my K1600 too and fit my R1250 easily.

You could just try cable tying the front brake lever as far back to the bars as you can and leave it overnight.

I have a rule that I won't buy a bike that costs as much as my first house whether new or used. Always nice to have a bit of perspective .
