Re: BMW Roadside assistance - tires

I believe, in fact I KNOW, we drive on the right (correct) side of the road. Sorry you might drive on the right side of the road, but the Brits and the other lefties drive on the (historically) correct side of the road. The switch from left to right, as far as I understand it, was made by Napoleon....

Re: Map update for Older Garmin devices

Don't think they build new roads that quickly, that it really matters. While in general this is true, however there are exceptions to the rule! Where I live they have knocked down a bridge - to make way for a canal expansion & to reduce ways a car can get into the city!  It was blocked...

Re: Map update for Older Garmin devices

I just did my car 660 and Bike Nav V today and it is 2018.20 I got. Nav V I think uses the newer NTU map set which I understand is currently on version 2018.20 The 660 / Nav IV or earlier uses the NT map set which is 2018.10 The older map sets are not as frequently updated, possibly a means to pers...

Map update for Older Garmin devices

Good morning,

There has been a map update for the older devices (Garmin 660 & older or BMW Navigator IV)

You can get it via Garmin Express, and if you want it on the computer as well - please don't forget to adjust the install options!

Best regards

Re: Wales 3 Days

I would very much like to have made it,  however I am not able to.  I am very interested in the tour.  If you are agreeable (& able) would you be willing to send me the tour as a Garmin file?  Obviously please remove any personal data - address etc before send...

Re: Morocco map?

There is an option using http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/   However other than using it to create a couple of maps of the USA & Europe for the computer a long time ago, I have not tried to install it on to a Garmin. User discretion is required, and you are responsible for any damage, lot...

You also forgot Blackpool illuminations, aftermarket filters, brake pads, screens, luggage, footpegs, seats, bars,mirrors.................. and oil types! Regarding the comments: I know I am a sad strange "big" man, but the previous comments - I found amusing especially from RTMan. I thin...

Re: Pannier liners/inner bags?

I have a Cee Baileys set for the side panniers. They open at the side, so there is easy access.  I was impressed with the quality, and fit of them. Caveat:  I have the 2010 model - so please check if the pannier design has changed!  However the fabric & build quality s...

Re: Where do you store bike's staff?

Greetings all of you! I 've just traded my '08 RT with the new one and I 'm very happy with the ride. Though I can't find a solution where to put the bike's staff, that on the '08 model could hide under the seat. When I write staff I mean things that always stay in the bike, such as: 1. Tire repair...

Re: VW WARRANTIES

Glad to hear it who, in there right mind would buy a car from a manufacturer who lie and cheat to sell us cars that kill our children! VW was the manufacturer that got caught.  Anyone thinking they are the only ones is deluding themselves.  Since the politicians make the rules for...

Re: Stepped back in time...

+1 on the interesting. I don't recall ever having been weighed prior to the brakes being tested for my MOT.  (Though one MOT Testing place did write in the "items found to be dangerous" section of the MOT report my name!  ;)) Now I am living in Belgium, the annual motorcy...
