I found myself going back over all my bikes in the last 40 yrs !!DaygloDavid wrote: Interesting if you look up some vehicles you have previously owned, I found a Honda VFR which was "Written Off" but now back on the road.

Mini compressor
Can anyone in the UK recommend a simple mains powered mini compressor. It will only be used for inflating tyres and maybe blow drying the bike. I have no idea of what spec to look for or where to look. I have tried EBay and Machine Mart but am pretty clueless to be honest.
TIA.

Re: Time for new tyres soon
Someone is going to say that they are not OEM fitment ;) I replaced my Contis at 6300 miles but could have stretched them to 7000 miles. Replaced with Z8 so lets see if they do as well as yours. I was tempted with PR4 but some don't like them and others have said they wear out q...

Re: Time for new tyres soon
I can't put it off any longer, I have 9000 miles on my Metzler slicks !!
Am tempted now to go to Bridgestones 023 GT on the recommendation of the dealer. I know £290 fitted might sound a lot to some but I do prefer the safety of a dealer especially when the bike is still under warranty.

HID Lights
I can highly recommend Les Wassell at www.hid50.com for your HID needs, had a replacement pair fitted to my bike today after a cheaper EBay set up failed after only a year.
Ride in, ride out after 90mins.

Doesn't have a price link tho if you follow the canbus kits. Didn't want to order unsuitable ones.

The roads on the Island are not safe for speeding, no idea why they even need cameras.

Roll on Thursday
Good weather or bad the bike will be rolling out of the garage for the first time in 4 months. After the pre flight checks I will be heading to the Isle of Wight for 4-5 days, to say I am like a kid in a sweet shop is an understatement. I don't mind if it's mostly dual carriageway or motorways to ge...
