Re: MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 GT
My previous bike a Triumph Sprint GT, I replaced the OEM fitted Bridgstones after less than 800 miles had no confidence in them at all. New set of PR4s I got 8000 out of the rear replaced both as though they were both legal the back seemed to have lost a lot of grip and the front...

Re: RTWC Mirrors
Fair one, but as far as I know, its not compulsory to let bikers filter. If someone is stopping me filter then fair does, just accept he is a prat, but is not doing anything wrong. So by retaliating we are just confirming bikers are what he is expecting them to be. IMHO of course - chill&...

Re: Shift Assist
I have a 2017RT and found the quick shift to be a bit of a challenge, though I am getting used to it. Would not consider 1-2-1 at all ever. As someone who rarely used the clutch for up shifts, remembering not to relax the throttle slightly during the shift takes some ge...

Re: Top Box vs Panniers
Hi The panniers are no wider than the mirrors but if you are moving anything other than dead straight then the panniers may get much nearer anything you pass. If like me you filter a lot then you risk catching vehicles. I usually filter around 3-5 miles each way every w...

Re: It's here!
Hi Congratulations on the new bike. Couple of things picking up on your comments. First the top box I found that the top box can cause a slight weave even when empty think it must be the slip stream. The demo bike had the BM box and the Gi...

Re: Tyre pressures
Hi
Yes the warnings take precedence. Too Cold you get the snow flake, low fuel you get miles to empty. Tyre pressure low and you get a triangle and the pressures displayed.
I know as I got a puncture within a week of getting the bike. :nervous:

Re: Change in weight and feel. When did it happen?
Also the difference between a full and empty tank is noticeable, if the 2010 was empty and the 2016 full you have nearly 50 kilos (110 lbs) difference in weight that would feel significant.

Re: TomTom Only needs 5 volts
Thanks. I'll plug it in and see if it works before I cable it all in. You will need to see that it still works after about 1 hour as the tomtom battery will power it for a while especially if it is getting support from the bikes supply but it could still be discharging ...
