I can't seem to find a definitive answer about this.
I want to plug my iPhone to the bike.
I want to use a Nav 5 unit.
If I have the iPhone music playing with the Nav 5 turn by turn instructions be audible?

Re: Headset audio volume distorted across different sources
There seems to be some documentation about this online, but it deals with a software update that seems to sort of fix the FM/Sirius issue but blows out the GPS, so I am wondering if anyone has had this issue and any luck correcting it.

Headset audio volume distorted across different sources
I paired my headset to the my brand new (to me) 2013 r1200rt which has the audio package. No problem pairing. The USB memory stick plays clear as a bell at any headset volume, but is very quiet through the bike speakers The radio and Sirrius xm sources are totally distorted at any column i...

It did come with a topbox. My wife, who has zero M/C experience, really likes it. I live in Western North Carolina and already I can tell this bie is gonna be a blast. I currently have a G650GS Sertao...amazing how different these 2 are. Two different tools for riding, ...

Re: Buy 2010 or 2007 R1200RT?
I pulled the trigger about bought a 2013 today. Test drove it twice, once with my wife and SHE told ME we should get it. Amazing.
Now that I have it sitting in my house, I am fraught with questions. But, I am excited to have joined the RT family!

Re: 2013 R1200RT GPS unit recommendations
So, I'm a little confused, which is normal. Say I have an iPhone that I plug into the communications system on the bike and say I have a Nav IV plugged into the BMW cradle. Will my headset get the music and phone calls from the phone and turn by turn directions from the Nav IV and radio st...

Re: 2013 R1200RT GPS unit recommendations
The only thing about the 660 is it's been out of production for some time now, I think since 2014. I wonder how long Garmin will continue to support it. The V has only recently been replaced by the VI so there might be some deals on them, I have recently been forced to swap from...

Re: 2013 R1200RT GPS unit recommendations
If it's a long cradle with buttons down the left side it's for the BMW Nav IV or v and possibly VI. The 660 fits but the buttons don't work snd you cannot use the audio out socket. I'm also not sure the BMW ones will fully work with the standard Garmin one shown. That is exactly...

Re: Buy 2010 or 2007 R1200RT?
I don't much care about the radio either. This bike does not have ASC. I know it can be added, but I'm not sure what it brings to the party. It is worth adding on? Test rode the bike yesterday and it is amazing the difference between it and my Sertao. So much....

I also found a nice 2013, but it has all the bells and whisltes, lower miles (20,000) and higher pricetag ($12,00). Are all the bells and whistles worth it (especially all the radio/communications stuff?)

Buy 2010 or 2007 R1200RT?
I have been thinking about getting either a 2007 or a 2010 R1200RT for touring with my wife, both day trips and longer trips. I currently have a Sertao and the only other bike I have even owned is a KLR. I do a lot of gravel road riding on the Sertao, but as I get older I am les...
