Re: Unlocking the My Bike App on a Nav V installed on an RT.
I agree about the lock but not the audio player in the Nav. Its a lot easier to plug a flash drive into the audio system than use a micro SD card in the Nav. The Alpine unit allows you to instantly jump tracks and control the volume with the wheel. Out of the Nav you have to pre...

I fitted an Akra end can to my LC. The dealer left the baffle out but I put it back - I like the sound better...

Re: Weather protection
I'm slightly worried that these might trap more crap inside the bike and lead to more corrosion. I'd rather have dirty boots than a rusty bike.

Re: Unlocking the My Bike App on a Nav V installed on an RT.
I can live without the My Bike app but the fact you can't lock the Nav 5 to the bike is absolutely idiotic - as is the fact that you can't use the MP3 player on the Nav 5 if your bike has the BMW audio system. Just another example of BMW launching bikes before all the bugs have been ironed out... >:...

Re: Handle Bar Risers
Interesting...
I don't have a problem with the bar height - but I wish the foot-pegs were just a little lower.
I thought about the Wunderlich lowering kit but have heard that it won't work on a 2014 bike with the gear-shift pro.
Anybody any experience?

I'd rather have to replace my panniers than ride around with those hideous rear crash-bars fitted!

Re: OEM LED LIGHTS
I also find the OEM headlights perfectly adequate - mind you, I came to the RT from a Multistrada and the lights on that were useless! I have added the BMW additional LED lights too. They do give an increased spread to the pool of light around the bike at night, especially to the...

Re: Quiet today ?
That's the only one I use. I never filled the normal one when I had one. Being all black it looks nicer, its well made and half the price. Just no central locking or brake light of course. There might be yet another alternative next year. The new 12...

Re: Keis Heated Clothing
Before getting the RT with its heated seat, I rode a Multistrada year-round. I have a Keiss jacket, insoles and heated gloves all connected through the jacket and powered from the bike with just one bevy-duty controller. Always worked without fault and always kept me toasty warm... ;) ;)
