Rumours seem to thinks so. The GS could produce 155ps and 140Nm of torque. Obviously the RT would follow suit.

Re: How do you shine the Chrome Header Pipes?
If I bring my bike over, will you do mine? PS my pipes come out of the cylinders in a different place... ;) Hmm, not so easy on the new ones as I heard they switched there chrome pipe supplier to baco-foil at the same time as they started to use recycled milk bottles for the plastics and CZ to buil...

Re: Engine flush or not?
If the bike has a decent service history then there is no reason to use engine flush at all. In fact in my years of R11xx and R1200 I have never come across anyone who has used engine flush. I do recall my Ford dealer offering me this service. When quized as to why they (the dealer) recommend it and...

Re: Insurance + claim + NCB
MCE are just a broker I believe. Find out who you were insured with through them. Contact them and ask for a letter to confirm it was not your fault. A few years back when I was in a no_fault accident, my insurance company quickly sent me a letter confirming the other party had accepted full respons...

Re: Older front tyres.
Rumbled already ;-( I was going to follow up with replacing the single sided rear wheel with one from a Honda melody Moped :-) Seriously though, it just my method that allows me to remove both front and rear wheels at the same time. I've got some of the new Roadsmarts 3's being fitted on Thursday. I...

Older front tyres.
I much prefer the way my 1150gs handles compared to my RT, so have set about converting the RT to GS wheel spec. I found an old front wheel from a 1981 Yamaha XJ550 in my attic. Now, these bikes really handled in their day and as a bonus the front wheel is a 19 inch the same as a GS . I can still us...

Re: Gas smell
It's only 4 screws to remove the upper left panel. I would pop this off and then you can clearly see if there are any leaks around the fuel pump controller/flange etc.

Re: To buy or not?
It's on the UKGser.com site, but you won't be able to see all the details unless you become a subscriber (£12). But it you can PM me your email, I will pass it on to the guy selling it and then hopefully he can contact you with some more pics and details :-) . If nothing else maybe you could use thi...

And is that a front lamp out warning on the dash?
It's little things like this that would cast further doubt about any caring owners..

Re: To buy or not?
I would agree with what has been said here. The condition is pretty bad, and whilst it could be cleaned up, I bet many of the bolts will be seized solid. There is a nice 2007/8 (non-servo ABS) with full luggage, 69,000 miles, clutch recently done for £3395 on the UKGser site at this time. I'm guessi...

Wanted ztechnik v-stream for R1200RT 2011 twin cam
As per title, I'm not sure where to put a wanted ad, so hopefully it's OK here.
It's the medium height one I am after. Good price paid for a good condition screen,
Cheers,
Phil.
