Re: Peak District 25th June
I would be up for a ride around the Peak District on the 25th June, it's approx 60 - 90 minutes from Telford to Castleton, I might even be able to persuade 3 Royal Enfield riders to join if allowed. Hi Glen, I reckon if a Suzi is acceptable, then Royal Enfields will be a shoe in. Not sure just yet ...

Re: Peak District 25th June
Don't want to hijack this thread being from the wrong demographic but am i the only southern softie not understanding what these monkey hangers are going on about ferrits and wippets and penny farthings and shoveling coal? Very perplexing!!! Let me try to explain. I made quite a reasonable comment ...

Re: Peak District 25th June
The RT meet is usually the second weekend in July, that would be 12th, 13th & 14th in 2024, with the day ride out being on Saturday 13th. Well bugger me, that's the same weekend as the ferret racing and whippet show. Already got mi tickets. When you was a lad motorcyles were'nt invented! You us...

Re: Peak District 25th June
On the subject of kitchen utensils, pot and black kettle come to mind too, not to mention the Devil. :shock: I've got feelings you know :cry: The RT meet is all inclusive, GS's attend and Markus used to have a Triumph, therefore, I'm sure Suzi would be welcome too. Yes, but what about Suzi $h1t sti...

Re: Peak District 25th June
I would "consider" a circular Peak District ride on the 25th starting and finishing at the NCMM. My reluctance is that the NCMM is 1 hr 20 min away from home and I'd likely be riding on my own. A longer ride starting and finishing at Castleton/Grindleford would not be an option for me. Ho...

Re: Northern Monkeys - Central Meet
Fair enough. Might still have a ride up if one of my bike buddies is available.

Peak District 25th June
Carrying over from the 'Central' thread. 25th June appears to be the date. Broadly speaking, if we get a consensus for the 25th, then the ride indicated in the previous thread is the option, due to the time constraints. If there are two separate rides, then we have options. All suggestions welcome. ...

Re: Northern Monkeys - Central Meet
Understand everyone's situation. Is there any chance of bringing everything together on the 25th or is it looking like two separate events;

Re: Northern Monkeys - Central Meet
Appreciate your efforts at inclusivity.......but.. I get this route to be 108 miles @ 3 hrs 15 mins saddle time. I suspect that may be ambitious for that route on a Peak District weekend (unless it's raining). Breaks down into 1st session of approx. 50 miles and 1.5 hrs and 2nd session of approx. 58...
