Re: Grip puppies - fatigue

I purchased from Ebay 10 rolls of black tennis racket handle wrap. I put 2 wraps on each grip. It did make a difference in vibration and feel. Where the wrap over laps, it gives your fingers something to hold on to. When it wears down, just unwrap and wrap on a new layer. Cheap fix but worth it in m...

R1200RT touch up paint

I have a 2016 R1200RT LC with the Ebony Metallic paint job. I have a bad scratch or two on the Right back bag and would like to touch it up. Does anyone know where I can purchase some touch up paint that color? I hate to think I would need to order another entire cover or have the cover re painted. ...

Re: Considering a R1200RT...

I could have not said it better myself. I am 67 years young and also have 3 Harley's. The Ultra does not get much road time anymore since I purchased my 2016 R1200RT. I wish I had done it years ago. I love the HP to weight of this bike and it is fun and easy to ride. I also like the ability to make ...

Re: New 2016 R1200RT report and questions

In Southern Louisiana we ride 12 months a year. On those 95 degree + days, a T shirt and 1/2 helmet is all you need for those back road rides and of course no gloves. Are we just joy riding or suiting up like a gladiator going to battle every time we mount up.

Re: New 2016 R1200RT report and questions

I too am a life long Harley convert to a 2016 RT. I wish I would have changed earlier but at 67, I will enjoy what time I have left on my RT. I purchased a few rolls of black tennis racket tape. I made 2 wraps on the grips with a little super glue and my problem is solved. I now ride without gloves ...

R1200RT LC mirror's

Has anyone tried to install another set of rear view mirror's on an RT LC ? I like the high mirror's on the GS better. I guess being a life long Harley rider has me use to those high mirror's.

Re: Drivers seat R1200 RT LC

I have heard of Russell but I thought they only sell new seats. I would like my stock seat re worked with gel or memory foam. That way I can keep my same height. I am in Louisiana.

Drivers seat R1200 RT LC

When I was a Harley rider I had many seats re worked. I use to send them off and have memory foam or gel put in them. It made a world of difference on those long rides. Now that I am riding a new RT, I find myself riding longer and longer. Does anyone know of a company that you can send your seat to...

Re: 2014 speaker install

No, Just my old 1/2 helmet from my Harley days and of course ear plugs. Once you ride with ear plugs you will never ride without them again. Blocks out wind and lets radio come in, strange but true.

Re: 2014 speaker install

I hear a lot of folks talk about not hearing the RT radio. Since I have installed the Werks Quiet Ride tinted windshield, I hear my radio loud and clear. I just made a trip from Louisiana to Washington DC. I played the radio the entire trip and at 70-80 I did not miss a note. The windshield changed ...
