Re: Front tire issue on 2016 R1200RT LC
Crap
I was just thinking about ordering a set of Michelin PR 4 GT's for my RT. What a thought with only 3500 miles on a new 2016 bike.

Front tire issue on 2016 R1200RT LC
With only 3500 miles on my new RT, the front Metzler tire is getting lumpy and scalloped. I run recommended 39 lbs tire pressure. Any suggestions?

Re: 2016 R1200RT LC oil filter
I guess the Hi Lo oil filter is off of my list. Does anyone know the part number for a Mahle oil filter for the 2016 R1200RT LC ? I am still interested in anyone using RP 10w-40 engine oil since I purchase it in bulk for several other engines.

Re: 2016 R1200RT LC oil filter
I appreciate all of the input. It is not a money thing but just trying to stay somewhat consistent with oil and filters. RP oil is not cheap but seems to work good in my HD Ultra, Dodge Ram diesel and wife's BMW X-5. I also use Hi Lo filters in my ATV's

2016 R1200RT LC oil filter
Has anyone used the Hi Lo HF-160 oil filter in their new R1200RT LC Beemer ? How about Royal Purple 10w-40 full synthetic oil. The reason I ask is that all my other bikes and trucks are running Hi Lo filters and RP oil. I am just trying to stay consistent. The RT is the newest of my wheels and I mus...

Re: Hog Man Cometh
I have not parted with my Ultra Classic either. I just look at it sitting on my bike lift. I did take it out last weekend but quickly jumped back on the RT.

Re: Hog Man Cometh
I made the switch from the heavy Ultra to a 2016 RT and what a difference. I was really having issues with the weight of the big Hog. I have had nothing but Harley's for the past 40 + years. The RT is like riding a dirt bike. At 67 years old, I feel like a much younger rider on the RT. I am still a ...

Re: 2016 RT - First Week Impressions
Purchase a new tinted windshield from Werk's. It has the flip up at the top and rounded and not dipped like stock. It made my 2016 RT a totally different riding bike as far as wind and radio sound. Well worth the money for a 10 minute swap out.

Re: Getting ready to buy
I am a new 1200RT rider and I love it. I ordered a 2016 with all the bells and whistles. It runs circles around my HD Ultra Classic.

Re: WERKS Quiet Ride Windshield
I just installed a 24" quiet ride tinted windshield on my 2016RT and it is night and day above stock. The bike is now a lot more fun to ride without the wind noise and buffering. I also hear the radio a lot better and look over the windshield instead of thru it.

Re: 2014 LE - Newbie question
As a lifetime Harley rider, I too needed a change to a smaller lighter bike for a second set of wheels. Now I have a 2016R1200RT LC and the Ultra Classic just sits in the garage. You will no doubt fall in love with the more nimble RT. Have fun.

Re: Skene IQ-160-TS installation
GOT IT DONE !!!! I pulled the back rack and taillight assembly and found the gray wire with the black stripe. Tapped into it and PRESTO the brake light worked. For some reason the same gray wire with the black stripe under the rear seat would not work. I tried 2 separate wire taps and nothing. I mov...

Re: Skene IQ-160-TS installation
Well Jim the install went well except for the brake light. Everything else works good. The instructions said to tie the white controller wire to "the wire with the black stripe". What color wire with a black stripe. I think the gray wire with black stripe is correct but I just don't know. ...

Skene IQ-160-TS installation
I am trying to install some Skene P3 lights on my 2016 R1200RT LC. The installation went well except I have no brake lights on the new Skene lights. Anyone know the color of the brake light wire on the new LC RT's? Instructions say to hook the white wire to the wire with the black stripe. Not much i...
