Re: Purchase of 2016 BMW 1200 RT

I picked up my 2016 RT Christmas Eve. Even with the weather down South I have managed to put 1500 flawless miles on it. I installed a Werks quiet ride windshield and Iliam Works handlebar risers and it is a totally different bike. No wind in the face and no sore back, love it.

Re: RT1200RT LC Handlebar risers

Thanks for the info. I may order a set today because I need a little more height in my sitting position. I installed the Werks Quiet Ride windshield yesterday and it is like riding a different bike. Very little wind noise compared to stock windshield. With the risers, I should be in business.

RT1200RT LC Handlebar risers

I recently purchased a 2016 R1200RT LC. I have put about 1000 miles on it in the past week and need some advice. After riding a Harley most of my life I am having issues with leaning forward on the BMW. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good set of handlebar risers for the LC. I would like to mo...

Re: Potential new R1200RT owner

Well I picked up my 2016 R1200RT Saturday. I have put about 450 miles on it so far and it is a blast to ride. I will need to get use to the seat position since my body has over years molded into the HD position. The engine and power is awesome. The suspension leaves even the Ultra Classic in the wee...

Re: R1200RT Radio

Well I picked up the new RT and the radio works fine. I must say that my first 200 miles today were a real blast. I hope the miles I put on her tomorrow will be just as nice. I am impressed so far and it is so easy to push around compared to the Ultra Classic.

Re: R1200RT Radio

Just got a call from the dealer and it seems the antenna base was defective. They had another one flown in and they are putting it on as we speak. I hope to pick the bike up in an hour or so and put a few hundred miles on it today. Not a cloud in the sky and tomorrow will be even better. The only th...

R1200RT Radio

Well, after many of my 60+ years of riding a Harley, I finally bit the bullet and went to pick up my 2016 R1200RT. After the walk around with the salesman , I was ready for the test ride. It was time for "Rush" to come on the radio so I asked the salesman to find my favorite AM station. Th...

Re: Potential new R1200RT owner

WOW, thanks for all of the good feedback. I think the RT sounds like the bike for me. The K1600 is a nice bike with a smooth ride but still too heavy. I don't need another touring bike but something for those short runs. I may keep the HD Ultra for those long trips but the RT sounds like the daily r...

Potential new R1200RT owner

Hello forum members I am a Louisiana senior citizen and a lifelong Harley rider. After my last 3000 mile jaunt I may be ready for a change. My best friend and long time Harley riding buddy made the switch last year to a K1600GTL. Wow is he happy and now I have the fever. Went on BMW a test ride and ...
