Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT

Seen this on the other forum. Well summarized so far David.
Definitely not interested in such a huge RPM display. Will hide that as often as possible, even with map once Connected App/battery issues sorted.
Why coffee breaks?????  Utter nonsense!

Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT

Yep you can keep your phone on you, on another forum a member said he did this and got about 2 hours out of his phone.  Obviously phone battery etc. comes into it, but the BMW APP must be on all the time if you want to see the maps.  The second thing is music, it will be running o...

Re: 2021 R1250RT

It is the basic Alpine White with options added. I put the red and blue on, and had a go at adding pinstripes.
Had the colours on my 2017 1200RT so put them on this new bike.

Re: RT for 2021

Bike expected to arrive at the dealer on Weds, for release after the launch day on the 6th March. :) :)
Getting a few things transferred from the old bike when they get it, but not sure yet when I can pick it up because of the lockdown rules - probably the 29th March.

Re: Live feed for camera

If a second rear power socket is available as an optional extra, there is a good chance the wiring will be there and can be used as a switched live. Thanks for that. I was wondering the same, I'll check at the dealers next time we speak. They just phoned before I saw this to say that the bike is on...

Re: Live feed for camera

Thanks for answering.
Same as my 2017 1200, I went for the basic and added what I 'needed', cruise control, heated seats, gearshift, spots etc, I haven't asked for the second power socket.

Re: Live feed for camera

I'm also looking to fit camera(s) to my 1250 when it hopefully arrives in March.I can manage the battery connection, but as I haven't got a rear power socket, is there an easy switched live that a technophobe can easily access please?

ThanksKeep safe

Strangely, the UK configurator shows a cost of £200 for tubular bars.

Re: Shift cam 1250RT

Last week I went to my dealer and agreed a deal on swapping my 2017 1200RT for a new 1250RT. However, BMW HQ cancelled the order as they are not taking any more orders this year. \it seems that the UK allocation for this year is already allocated and there are supposedly spec changes on the way for ...

Re: Viewing routes in Google Earth

I have always used Google Earth to check routes made in MS and BaseCamp. However, Garmin and Google seem to be having a battle to stop users using other software. I found a solution here https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=616&p=4596#p4596 Mapsource version 6.16.3 BaseCamp ...

Casbar/Mondeoman
Glad you like what I have done. Got the stripes from here (recognise the bike?). He was very helpful in designing and providing the stripes for me. Highly recommended.

Re: pannier inner bags for sale (uk)

I had considered the liners, instead use the ziplock type storage bags and a carrier bag or back pack. The ziplocks are great as you squash the air out and takes up much less space. Found them very useful when flying using only hand luggage as bike parking is free at Heathrow empty the panniers and...
