best case scenario for Pirelli's Angel GT & GT II is 4,500 to 5,000 miles both front and rear.

Re: riders backrest
I have a stand-alone backrest for my 2014 R1200RT, and it worked with my stock seat. It's just sitting in my garage if you would like it, albeit I'm across the pond. Woody's Importium, Ltd. in Wales, UK is a Bakup authorized distributor, here: https://bakupusa.com/store...

From now on, my RT goes where I go. . .
Sharing a new toy I added to my RV, a CruiserLift ramp. I no longer need to uproot camp to go somewhere. Attaches to the frame using a 1,000lbs class IV tri-hitch, has a winch to raise/lower the ramp, and runs off a 12V source (house batteries on the RV). Bike rides 48&...

Re: Final Drive Rubber Boot P/N 33357708117
OK, I'm now chalking my question up to shear stupidity. Of course, I need to drop the final drive to install a new rubber boot, how else would it go around the drive shaft!!!? :-[ Sheepishly, -Bob Thank you for the confirm David. Boxflyer; great write-up. If ...

Final Drive Rubber Boot P/N 33357708117
Just completed my 24K mile interval service and when replacing the final drive rubber boot noticed the clips that snap to the final drive have started to separate from the inner diameter of the rubber boot >:( . Time to replace. Q. Do I need to drop the final drive down...

2014-2018 R1200RT LC, Fuel Filter?
Just completed my 24K mile interval maintenance and asked myself, ". . . is there a fuel filter I need to replace?". If so, where is it, in the tank and does anyone have any experience replacing the fuel filter?
Thanks in advance,
-Bob

I highly recommend you do not buy Pirelli Angel GT II. . .
RE: Pirelli Angel GT II 120/70ZR17 A-Spec Front Mounted and balanced the above referenced tire on October 1st 2019, and after 4,751 miles the result is in the attached pics. The excessive wear on the left side of the tire is unexplained, and I would not expect this amount of exce...

Re: Issues putting 2018 panels on 2014 RT
Agree with David. I have a 2014 and my right front side panel tabs broke off (and I didn't even know it, a testament to inferior design). Will be affixing some super-duper velcro to correct. Since I have a 2014 I doubt BMW would correct their mistake.

Re: Heated seat on an LC RT
FYI only, turning on the heated seat to the maximum level should only be considered temporary to get some heat on your arse and should not be a sustainable setting. If you crank the heat, and start feeling it, I would suggest backing it off by at least 1-click. I think this is also in the ...
