Re: Disc brake pads
That has been my experience too. The Wethead seems to consume rear pads at a much higher rate than the fronts (and also at a much higher rate than the rears on my Oilhead). I too am a great fan of engine braking and was surprised by the frequency of pad changes! Unlike David, I do like the EBC pads ...

I'd leave the order as original, and just buy the correct height Werks QuietRide screen.keith1200r wrote: Thanks. I have ordered it with the full screen (but could probably change it if necessary)

Re: OEM sport vs full screen
Hi Keith. I stand by the comments you will see on the other forum.
The sports screen looks great but offers little protection.
The OEM screen seems to be acceptable to some, but believe me, the Werks Quiet Ride screen is SO MUCH better.

... most once they get over the callipers don't have a Brembo badge, seem to like them better, Not sure that is anywhere near true. I think that the truth is more like: So long as the brakes do what they are supposed to do, I don't even think about them. I also think the comment made by Beagle at p...

Re: RT for 2021
It will be interesting to see if BMW have listened to the points that were made by current owners ie: seat comfort , a proper windscreen , adjustable handlebars, to name a few , i live in hope if not i will be hanging on to my 2018 RTLE a few more years to come . Well they certainly have given you ...

Re: RT for 2021
I don't understand why so many people are so transfixed by the navigation interface, but are less concerned with how well the new lighting system will perform, or how comfortable the bike may be, or the footpeg/seat/bar relationship. There are so many areas where improvements would be of significanc...

Re: Misleading Information from Main Dealer
That would make me furious if it was so important to me. What compensation have you asked for? Personally, the only thing the only sufficient compensation would be a K1600 with LED headlight. Are you rejecting the compensation of a free 6,000 mile service? For goodness sake, what is up wi...

I think they are talking about the auxiliary headlights (foglights).

Re: 2011 R1200RT: Heated grips too hot on high setting/
Of course I don't know how hot your grips are getting, but bear in mind, in the middle of winter when the wind chill is high, when the gloves are wet, when you have your super thick winter gloves on...that heat has to push through all of that. I would be surprised if they are really too hot.

I think they may be talking about the Angel Eyes Headlight (Headlight Pro).
Or the Auxiliary LED Headlight package (we used to call the foglights).

Remember that for filtering in traffic, the mirrors can be folded back to make the bike narrower. HOWEVER
MORE IMPORTANT...The panniers on the Wetheads are WIDER than the mirrors!

Re: New kid in town and a “big” question
Hi Classico,
I have had another thought too. The Wethead is actually easier for short legged people than the Camhead because with any given (stock) seat height, the width is narrower, so your legs are splayed less, so your little legs will touch down earlier!

Should I go for an LC instead? Thks for your help and guidance The LC is a better bike in NEARLY all respects. It certainly feels more agile to push around. However, If I were 5'7" I would think very carefully before I tried to paddle any of these bikes around. The LC is faster, quicker, more ...
