FUEL SENSOR FAILURE

Post by guest2360 »

We are all aware that these can fail quite often.  I was under the impression that BMW always exchanged these FOC as they are a known fault.  However I have heard today that an owner has been told by his dealer that if the bike is out of warranty the owner must pay for the first failure and only then will they be changed FOC.  Anybody know differently?

My understanding is that BMW has extended the Warranty on that item to 12 years. . When mine first failed out of warranty,  it was paid for. . Subsequently I received a check back from BMW for the entire cost of the first replacement. . My service was performed at BMW of Denver.

That dealer is incorrect!!!!

What happens over the pond can be very different to what happens in Europe.
